"I wanna dance with you right now, whoa,
And you look as beautiful as ever,
And I swear that every day you'll get better,
You make me feel this way somehow..."

Beckett

"Bailey," I groaned, halting our movement towards the venue. "We don't have to do this. I can drive us home right now, I won't be upset, I promise."

"Beckett, I want to be here with you," she smiled, wrapping her arms around my neck as she stepped forward. "I promise, this is where I want to be. If I start to feel overwhelmed, I'll tell you and we can go straight to the hotel. But that won't happen, because I've been waiting to be here with you for weeks."

"You promise you'll tell me if you want to leave?"

"I promise."

"Okay," I sigh, grabbing her hand as she excitedly shoves the tickets toward the usher.

"Enjoy the show," the woman smiles, and Bailey's eyes brighten as she turns to me. I laugh at my girlfriend's enthusiasm as we find our seats, the opener already finishing his set.

The stage crew looks to be switching out the instruments and adjusting some props, and the venue is buzzing with energy. Half of it is coming from the girl bouncing excitedly next to me.

It's been a little over a month without Grandpa Matt, and some days are harder than others.

Wren pretty much moved into Bailey's house this last month, and I know Bailey is grateful not to be alone most of the time. It comforts me knowing that Wren's there for her.

I stayed with Bailey the first few nights since his passing, but since then I have retreated back to my own bed at night. No matter how bad I want to sleep with her in my arms, I'm trying to respect the old man's wish of no sleepover's till she's out from under his roof.

So alone time with Bailey has been harder this past month with Wren and my family always around. But no matter how hard I tried convincing Bailey that we didn't need to go to this concert 3 hours away, she insisted we come.

And I was secretly looking forward to a night alone with my girlfriend, whose smile gets a little brighter everyday.

The lights dim, and I feel an adrenaline rush push through me as the crowd goes wild. And then Noah Kahan's silhouette comes from under the dim lighting on stage, and I can't hide the smile anymore.

Because this is exactly where I want to be, with this girl, hearing some of my favorite music.

Ooh-ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
It's been a long year

"Beckett!" Bailey screamed, and then her hands were on my cheeks to tilt my head down to her. "This is one of our songs!"

"One of?" I laugh, pressing my forehead to hers as I feel the song deep in my heart.

"One of," she beams, pressing her lips to mine.

Everywhere, everything
I wanna love you till we're food for the worms to eat
Till our fingers decompose
Keep my hand in yours

"I love you!" She yells over the music as she pulls back, and I chuckle.

"I love you, more."

"Beckett," she gasps as a new voice harmonizes with Noah's, and I feel my own jaw drop. "Is that..."

"Bailey," I beam, using my hands on her hips to spin her around towards the stage. "It's Gracie."

"Oh my god," she laughs, and her smile stretches wide at the sight of one of her favorite artists performing next to mine.
