"It is so hot, wanna grab boba?" I hummed in question to Gigi. I didn't catch what she said because Ice sent me a picture of her trying out jacket of which one suits her better. And being me, I got easily distracted when it comes to Ice, like everything around me stop and all of my attention poured on one person.
But it only made me realize that she's really serious about impressing Jaden. She even go beyond the effort of asking my opinion of what suits her better but personally, for me? Whatever she wear or looks doesn't matter.
"Just let's go" Gigi didn't repeat it, rather, she grabbed my hand then walking out of the gym and stopping to the nearby boba store. "Which one do you like?"
I look at the menu but honestly, I'm not a big fan of boba. "whatever you're getting"
Gigi nodded then walked over the counter to order as I picked out my wallet before following "How much?"
But it only produces a smile from her "one thing you should remember sum whenever you're with me. I got you ok?" I hesitantly nodded and caught the girl behind the counter smiling cheekily at us.
"Thank you" I shyly mumbled.
We moved to the pick up counter while waiting for our drinks and about to reply to Ice but Gigi says something that caught my attention.
"Ally told me that Ice came yesterday night"
It was a bittersweet night to recall because the night ended very painfully and waking up without Ice in my place is like an empty dark secluded room. "Basing on your reaction, that didn't go well?"
I let out a faint smile and she already figured it out. "She told me that she's liking someone and she wants to impress Jaden and what's crazier? Is she want my advice and opinion"
"Sucks" agreed that's why I nodded. "I guess my best friend ghosting me is better than your current situation, at least she didn't ask me for love advices"
That made my lips tugged into thank you for pointing it smile.
They called out our drinks and Gigi pierced the straw before handing it to me.
Gigi peak at my phone screen as I'm trying to compose a reply message to Ice. She took it from my hand before raising it and pointing the camera to us "let me choose" she says then handed back my phone.
And when I checked my eyes grew in utter surprise because she sent our pictures that stated

My heart races when it notifies that Ice seen it and before I reply something or at least think of something to say, Gigi speaks out "Ally told me about how you look down on yourself" that caught my attention, too stunned to respond let alone tear off of how it is imminently obvious that she's right.. "Sum is that how you really feel around me? Being not enough, being too sensitive about what others think?"
