35. Their POV

"Hello Sum...mer? Baby what, wait—are you crying?" I called Mama on my way to the airport to let her know that I'm coming home so they can fetch me from there because right now my brain isn't functioning, everything is just, blank.

I look up, trying to hold the incoming tears but hearing my mother soft worried voice is breaking my walls.

"Hon, what happened? Are you okay? Are you hurt?" She asked.

"....it hurts, it really hurts mama" I say between sobbing like a baby ".....everything hurts mama. I couldn't think well, I don't know what to do and I'm way too late....it's all too late"

She sighed from the other side but heard Papa speaking not far from her "Summer did you had another accident? What do you mean hurt?? And what is too late hon?"

I took a deep breath, trying to compose myself but I simply couldn't stop my tears while the driver keeps on checking from the rearview.

".....I uhm, I'm fine mama...I'm sorry just. Just. I wish it's just another accident because I think I can handle that more but....we'll talk when I get home ok? And I already booked my flight and right now I'm on my way to the airport"

"What? Does Ice know about this? Is she with you right now??"

"No and please don't tell her.....we're just. It's complicated...."

".......Okay baby, we'll see you and have a safe flight, we love you Summy and we're here" I know she must already have an idea after telling her about not telling it to Ice.

I know this is such an impulsive behavior, I don't even bring things with me other than my backpack and for sure Ice will call me later after her shift....and honestly? I don't know what to tell or how to face her, not just yet.

The driver drop me off to the entrance and as I look around, there's no turning back plus the plane ticket is really expensive.

I headed inside to look for any vacant seat while waiting for my flight, I still have an hour and Vero is coming over.

But the more time passes, the more it is sinking in, the flashbacks and how will our relationship is going to be?

I pulled out my phone, at least, if I can't tell it to her face then I can do it over a message before leaving.

Ice Lee Point of View

"Are you seriously sure that we're official?" I can't help but smile while watching Jaden squealing like a boy when Bree said yes to him after a month of courting.

He looks at me with his close fist jabbing in the air.

I should tell Summer, for once, watching Bree and Jaden joyful faces made me boost my confidence to confess....

I turn around before grabbing my phone from the inside of scrubs.

I turned to Veronica in creased forehead "what?"

"You keep on exhaling" she says with her attention on the phone. "Don't worry about Summy, for sure she's not interested to my cousin. Trust me, she is not like other girl" then tilted at me "Jaden is all yours that for sure"

It is irritating of how they thought that I'm interested to Jaden? But how can I tell them that it's not Jaden I'm worried about but Summer.

After dropping Veronica at our shared condo building I went straight to the cafe where Anderson was already busy in his laptop.
