42. Supposedly memorable.....

"So who's the lucky guy?" Seb ask which instantly set my cheeks hot.

I glanced to Ice who's sitting next to me with her perking brows at me.

"Uhm...." I cleared my throat then diverted to Rita then to Seb "Ice and I are daddating and our family knows it" there I finally breathed.

Seb glanced to Ice then back to me, "Oh" he look shock, unlike Rita, she knows but what she's not expecting is us being finally out to our family "....that's....great" why am I nodding?

I look at Ice when her phone rings "wait" she says between hurriedly standing up and walking out of the store while I'm really curious who was it? Because it look like all her attention was on whoever's that person and it is affecting her mood.

"I'm so happy for you Summy!" Rita interrupting my pinning gaze to Ice who look so serious. "We should you celebrate being out of the closet!"

I force a smile but still glancing to Ice who's now smiling of whoever's that person.

After feeling like a forever she finally walk back to us as we already decided to spend some time in the river park to set up a little picnic.

It was unplanned but Rita asked Seb to grab a blanket back to their house while we picked foods to eat but I couldn't be less bothered by Ice bored expression and to the way she's acting like being forced to be with us other than always checking her phone. Apparently I'm not the only one who felt her cold presence but so is Rita and we keep on exchanging eye look to one another about Ice and all I did is shrugged with a faint smile.

"Alright" we all sat down into the blanket near the river with a lot of foods, okay maybe we might or might not overdo buying. "Where should we start first? Oh my there's a looot and I'm salivating!" Rita says before deciding to start on club house sandwich.

I look at Ice with a smile but it immediately fade out because all her attention is still on that damn phone.

"So, ate Ice" Seb calling out her attention. Seb and Rita are Filipinos so we're used to their use of term as a sign of respect to elders. "I heard you're pursuing to be a future surgeon"

"Hmm" Ice hummed, still not tearing off her attention to the screen.

"Wow that's so cool. I'm actually planning to be part of medical research after I graduate High school. But, any suggestions or some advice for me for being a top student of your department?" Seb seems so excited. I can't believe that he's about to enter college, he was just an adorable cheeky little boy the last time I saw him.

"Just do what you really want" she shortly says, still busy.

Seb glanced at me before subtly nodding while Rita is obviously awkwardly chewing her sandwich with a back and forth eye to Ice and I.

I just wish that whoever is that person, is really important so for now, I heaved a deep inhaled to avoid ruining the mood.

I pick up the strawberry then dip it to the caramel sundae and I was literally shook of how good it tasted! "You should try this" I say to Ice after picking and dipping another one and giving it to her but she's really busy.

I was about to put it down with a faint smile but Seb took it from my hand using his mouth "hmmm....this is really good ate Summer!"

"Right?" At least someone appreciates it.

"Can you please give me more ate? Ahh...." I will be lying if I say that Seb didn't look cute and adorable after opening his mouth and gesturing for me to give another one. He's exactly the 8 year old flirty boy and because of his action, it made me softly giggle.

I gave him another one and watching him chewed it like a happy boy he is. I can't believe how many years have passed being away from home and now watching Seb totally grown up.

After eating we decided to walk around the area but Ice is just following behind us while Rita arms were linked on mine and Seb on his sister left side.

"Do you still remember how I almost drowned in the river because I don't know how to swim? And I was trying to free the goldfish?" I happily asked Ice after turning to her while walking backwards.

Her dead gaze is really bothering me right now "yeah you always does impulsive actions"

"Right." I flatly responded then turn back and instantly felt Rita tightening her arms around mine while Seb checks on me.

I'm aware that they're worried for me right now, to the way Ice is treating me. I know she's colder than Ice but that was when we're still besties but maybe I'm really expecting a lot from our current relationship.

"You okay?" Rita lowly ask in concerning expression.

"....just tired" and really disappointed because I thought our first date is supposed to be memorable and yes it might be unforgettable but not in a good way.

After spending our last day but not a happy one, we all decided to bid our goodbye and right now walking back home but not waiting for Ice who's trailing behind me and probably still sticking to her phone.

I walked as fast as I could.

"Hello girls! How is.....the first date?" Mommy hesitantly ask while her eyes is bouncing back and forth to Ice who's behind me.

"Fun. Very, very, very memorable" I say with a faked smile before pointing upstairs "Just gonna uhm...wash up"
