Ice stayed her head down while feeling the pinned disappointment towards her.
The Doctor heaved a deep sighed of dismay, still couldn't believe what Ice just did. Sure he is aware that Ice possessed a natural skills with a lot of potential but still, her performance doesn't give her the audacity to walked out whenever she pleases.
"and you expect me to forgive you after disappearing for 2 days? Without a request for leave? and now you get to showed up in my office?" The doctor took off his eyeglasses disappointingly, placing it gently in the table with a subtle exhale of dismay. "You're one of the best student here but that doesn't give you the privilege to disappear whenever you want and goes back as if you didn't left not just your responsibility, but also your team and your patients" he pauses, taking in Ice silence "they need you. The moment we chose to be in this field, there shouldn't be anymore important but our patients who's counting on us"
"I'm really sorry Doctor"
The doctor heaved a deep sighed. He knew that Ice apology was sincere and genuine but he just couldn't quite get her point.
"And what valid excuse will you reason out for this thoughtless behavior?"
"I'm sorry Doctor Fajardo but I don't have a valid excuse"
"That's impossible. I'm sure there's a reason behind. You're never the type of person who's reckless and irresponsible. Ms. Lee, just to remind you, you're just an intern yet, and we can either kick you out or continue your residency" The Doctor warned in serious gaze to Ice who's keeping her eyes down.
"I'm sorry" she repeats countless times.
Ice held her silence for a moment before she lifted up her head to meet the doctor seriously concerned face rather than mad, it was the opposite of what she's expecting.
"What happened that you opted to turned your back from your obligations? I hope that whatever it is, it is worth it"
"She's worth it Doctor, that's why I'm willing to throw everything if it means loosing her"
"Kid, tell me why do you want to be a doctor?"

High school flashback
I swear that I will rather die than confessing my feelings to my best friend who's looking so damn beautiful practicing in the stage with Elijah.
What's making me crazy more? Since it is practice, she wore an oversized shirt and cargo pants with her favorite cap covering half of her face.
Ice is way more attractive looking than Elijah.
I know that I'm supposed to document everything but my camera only focus is taking stolen pictures of Ice.
"Elijah is handsome but why am I staring to the tall girl in black cap?"

"Hey miss, do you know her name?" their audacity to ask me is making me low key clenched my jaw.
