I didn't cry. I just had to focus. But I couldn't. I tried thinking about something else, but nothing worked. All I saw was Mieary smiling at me one minute, then her broken body in my arms. I needed to stay strong and not freak out.

This most likely happened because of the Necromancers. So I let Miss Valis and the Fan club take me back. When we got there, I went back to my old room. They wanted me to go back to my strict schedule before, taking lessons, training, tests of all sorts, and most important, eating.

But I couldn't. I wouldn't. I kept on seeing her. I curled up on my pathetic excuse of a bed. I held my head tightly, trying to rid myself from my thoughts. It wasn't working.

One day Miss Valis came. I expected a nasty comment, but all I got was a hug. I was extremely surprised, even more so when she started brushing my tangled hair. She put a tray of food on my bed, and looked at me expectantly. I turned away.

"Phoenix... You need to eat. Every time you die from starvation, you come back. I known it is painful when you come back. She wouldn't want you to be in pain," Miss Valis said. I froze up when she mentioned her. "I loved her too. I know how you're feeling. The only thing I can think of to make her stay, would have been to tell her how much I love her, and how important she is to me," She stopped talking, and tears were in her eyes.

"Was," I whispered, ashamed of myself. I had reached a new low point in my life. I was being comforted by the old witch lady herself. Yikes. I better put myself together. I took a deep breath. I tried to collect myself, and it was starting to work.

"I think we should move on from the past, but never let her leave our hearts," Miss Valis said, a sad smile on her face. She got up, and started to leave, before she left, she turned and smiled at me like she really did care about me.

That's how I knew she was really going crazy about Mieary's death. The Miss Valis I knew would never care about me. I had a feeling this would be the last time ever that I would see old crazy Miss Valis.
