Chapter 18: Castle of Vampires

Along the path I asked August,

"What... what is this?"

Jasper shivers, "This is... the famous Bran Castle..."

Rayth asks, "What's the legend anyways?"

August snaps his fingers, "This is Hydoh, the Creature of Blood. It's the legend of the most powerful vampire."

Alina sighs, "And what's that?"

Jasper points to the castle, "It's called [The Dark Castle of Vampires] Long long ago, in a city famously known for royal parties. Lived a count, this count meant everything to the city. Until one night he was bitten by a bat, and was turned into a vampire–"

Rayth stops Jasper, "Hold on, what is a vampire?"

August smirks, "Although a myth, it's one of Nyx's monsters and a creature that sucks blood."

Jasper continues, "The legends say he killed everyone in the city, the myth implies that he was exiled for being a creature... This count was known as Vlad, but he now goes by as Hydoh, one of Nyx's Twelve Children."

Eloria laughed, "Vampires are nothing, I could kill him."

Alina sighed, "But you haven't seen a vampire before Eloria..."

As we get closer August warns us, "Hydoh is still part of the twelve children of Nyx... Even if we first try to negotiate we need to be cautious."

As we entered the castle grounds, the air became thicker with an unsettling aura. The path leading to the castle was lined with statues, each depicting gruesome scenes of vampiric horror. The entrance doors creaked open on their own.

Rayth freaks out, "Th-that door opened on its own!"

Jasper also gets scared, "Ack!"

I stood in front of both of them, "Don't worry, if anything happens... we have members who will fight them..."

Eloria smirks, "I'll beat the shit out of them, ghost? Vampires? Bring em on!"

Inside, the castle was adorned with ancient tapestries and dimly lit torches that cast flickering shadows on the walls. The air was chilly, and a sense of dread hung in every corner. We proceeded cautiously, following August's lead.

As August opens a large door heading to the grand hall we see an empty throne.

"Hm... Is Hydoh not here?"

As the glass shatters someone enters into the grand hall,

"Who dares to enter my domain!"

It was a man with short black hair, sharp fangs, and blood-red eyes exuded a terrifying presence, as he spoke with a chilling voice.

August stood a step forward, "Are you Hydoh correct?"

"Not many humans step into my castle. So answer, who the hell are you."

August shouts out, "Hydoh! Are to join us, or fight us."

"Again? You Nox Government's don't quit do you."

"Hm?"

Something was wrong, why was the Nox Government's name mentioned?

August also realized something was not right and took a step back, "Eloria, go crazy!"

"I've been waiting for this!"

She quickly dash forward and aimed for Hydoh's neck, but the sword goes through as Hydoh's body turns into blood, as he reformed into a physical body beside Eloria,
