Chapter 34: Nyx's Nightfall

Nyx gave us a rather deep sigh, "Like I said, I did in retaliation. Humanity didn't deserve to live."

August shouts, "How could you say that! Humanity was built upon our ancestors, the reason why we still strive to live a better life, this is all to do with mankind!"

"I already told you, all humans have some evil in them. Pride, greed, lust, envy, gluttony, wrath, and sloth. Murders, and even insults, all these thoughts still exist in each and every human."

August sighs "But, that's what makes us human. Humans function on a good balance between good and evil, no is truly good, nor vice versa. With this balance we couldn't think, and without thinking we would just be better off dead."

Nyx's eyes look not looking at our direction, "That is what I came to the conclusion to end the world. Yet clearly humanity still survives."

August shouts, "Do you still have the same feeling as when Nyx's Nightfall occurs?"

"To me, time hasn't passed since when I was sealed and now. I still believe that humanity should have been eradicated."

Hyde shakes his head, "Clearly you haven't spent time with humans."

Nyx doesn't answer Hyde's comments and points to August, "And why should I undo the curse? You humans sound like you all are thriving!"

"The curse caused many wars to occur. Many, many gruesome wars, and many awful experiments. Lives were lost, or taken away. That is something I do not want people to live in. Which is why, I believe that undoing such a curse exists... Will return to the world of peace."

Nyx gave us a slight laugh, "Peace? Don't make me laugh, the humanity before I was sealed was a bloodbath, even before the curse, people were already killing each other."

Alina asks, "Are you saying it's always been like that? Why?"

"Fear, People fear others' power. When fear grows people start to blame others, and one little push to a pebble, soon becomes a rolling boulder. Peace was never going to be an option, no matter what occurs, no one can achieve a perfect peace."

I knew it, something was off when Hyde made that comment... I stepped up,

"Nyx, you've already interacted with a human before, correct?"

"And who are you?"

"Ah right... Lyndon Nightmare–"

Nyx's eyes wide open, "Did you just call yourself a Nightmare?!"

I nodded, "yes..."

Nyx groans, "Ah geez, and he had to survive of all things... Bah, what a failure..."

We all stood in confusion...

Jasper whispers, "What is going on?" To Alina and Lucy.

Nyx snapped her fingers, "if you are wondering... let me tell you my side of the story."

The space gets distorted as the place becomes a new area.

Jasper shouts, "hey, this looks... What the hell is this?!"

Weird shiny tall squares all around the place, with boxes on wheels looking similar to a carriage. Humans wearing weird clothings crossing.

Nyx points, "This was the world before the disaster."

Jasper shouts, "These look way advanced, I knew it!"

"The place was called earth, and... I believe the year was twenty twenty five, a couple of days right before the fall."
