Reminisce 3: Orenda's Upbringing

As a young child Orenda loved a poor life. She lived under a family of researchers. Her mother died of an incurable disease and her father was killed by his friends. There she lived alone, desperately searching for the meaning of life. But fate was cruel to her, any friends she made were killed, anything she researched failed, never succeeding in life she eventually got herself looking down at a clift.

"It's better off this way..."

{Do you believe this is the right course of action?}

Orenda looks up, "Who!"

{I am the god of this world, the world has treated you unfairly. But bad luck will come around. What do you say, tell me your wish and I shall turn it around.}

"No... I don't mind all this... I just... I just want to search for the cycle of life... Death, and Birth... I want to see what's life after death."

{An interesting one is it? But life after death means... you won't be able to research about life. Is this truly the right decision?}

"Well..."

{A fate can be changed, you can change... your fate. So, will you take my offer.}

Orenda thought to herself. Her bad luck wasn't the problem... But what this voice said rang true. She still has many things to research when she is still alive...

"Alright... I'll take it, grant me the wish to be able to live... To give me the power...!"

{Then I shall grant you that wish, drink this blood... You will gain power unimaginable, a power that can change your fate}

It was a weird container that appeared in front of Orenda as she grabbed it and drank it. Her body felt more sinister, nothing exceptional. She later returned to the community, and started her research. Soon after 50 years Orenda walked out of her own room and into the union. To propose a massive project, but she wasn't well known, and the Science Union gave her minimal resources. Orenda used this opportunity to increase the risk of her project, eventually killing millions of people, be it innocent or not.

There was another genius researcher. Kaiser R. Denholm, someone who saw the horror of what Orenda had caused, and solved the Phantoms on his own. But Orenda took it, she plagiarized Kaiser's work and soon after brought him to Flask island. To either keep him in confinement or to safeguard him.

Orenda was truly known as the [Safe-Guardian].
