Reminisce 9: Zohar's Upbringing

Zohar lived in a confined home, alone in the desert he was always craving for knowledge. As a child he was emotional, he would laugh, he would cry, and he would get angry. He never knew his parents, but they left behind books a house and how to cook, so he survived on his own. He did best and defeated many sand beasts. Even naming what's known as the four sand beasts.

Zohar was in possession of many artifacts, when he came across a cursed artifact. Something that was only created due to the malice or greed of the creator. A curse that follows the law of equivalent exchange, you would gain a powerful phantom, in exchange for your personality, emotion, feeling, empathy.

Of course he never knew of this, but he knew of the cursed artifacts and never used it. It was until settlements came along. The desert was filled with rich materials for consumption and people from all over the place came and fought. War was inevitable and destroyed the place, two sides were a war bloodbath, while others intercepted. Caught in the crossfire Zohar lost his home and all the books he had.

When running away he had no choice but to grab the cursed artifact and rushed out. He was always in hiding, and holding the cursed artifact. Until one night... He unlocked the cursed artifact and gained a Phantom but lost all sense. His Phantom helped him push back everyone, any person who came with the mind of destroying or taking away from the desert, with the help of his powerful phantom he drove them all away.

But there was one more deal, the law of equivalent exchange was never in Zohar's favor. Zohar's life was rapidly drained, he never realized that... once you release too much power, his life would be forfeit.

In that moment of desperation he called out to anyone, anyone who would listen to his dying call. That's when he hears a voice.

{Do you want true power?}

Zohar mustered out words, "Help... me..."

{You have made a deal with a devil, a curse that manifested due to my existence... I shall give you more power, to combat such pain}

"Why...Why did you..."

{take the power, and wreak havoc on the world, the world that deserves such punishment}

With that Zohar drank a container with crimson blood. As his eyes shined, his body was slowly regenerating. There he lived on, emotionless, but protected the place... That eventually shifted into an island. When one night he came across a man with yellow hair, his clothing style didn't match what he knew and most importantly, he just... appeared. With no warning nor a way like from the sky... When he awakened he introduced himself as Lucens.

Lucens was a weird man, he was energetic, more so than anyone he met, and he was fascinated by the night sky, as if he saw it the first time. He also held an Artifact or a Treasure he called Prometheus, while it enhanced his ability to fight, he never used its secret function.

Lucens told his side of the story to Zohar one night. How he was chased by someone in his world and he escaped through here. He needed to return but he entrusted his treasure to Zohar, then with the help of Yak, Lucens left Centena island.

Zohar felt... lonely again. When Lucens was around he was the only friend he could have... While Zohar couldn't express any emotions... In his heart he knew that Lucens was someone precious to him. He kept the treasure hidden within a chest guarded by the four sand beasts. Then he lived the rest of his life wandering, searching for Nyx, he wanted to know if his savior was evil, or good.

So then he walks the soil of land to seek out the truth. He was a mysterious traveler who begged the question of life. A wanderer who helped people along the way to find who he is. His island embodies the long road he went though as there are a bunch of twists and turns. He eventually finds the truth he has been seeking, a creature born from Nyx, the evil god that cursed the land of Nox. Leading a path of twist for him.

Zohar still seeks another truth, why he needed to live. He see's Nyx as an evil being, so he questions why he was saved from her. Zohar's ability to make things silent brings more truth. He believes that silence is closer to the truth. As when someone opens their mouth they would spit lies. Zohar can also silence other abilities, almost negating them.

Due to his constant travel and more physical questions he is known as the Wanderer of Life by many, as many historical famous people's journals mention about him at least once. Zohar doesn't bear any ill will against the human, and once residing in Serpin Island he cherishes the people who live in Serpin island.

Zohar doesn't have a famous story when he was living in the human world. He was never the type to stand out, and only a couple knew him as the Wanderer of Life. But one famous one that only a handful knew was his life as an assassin.

Due to Zohar's phantom he was great for assassinations, and with getting help from many different people be it from humans or his fellow children he would carry his order to kill someone in silence, leaving no trace to him.

At first he denied, he never truly wanted to kill anyone... But he had his own moral code, and he would have no problem killing off an evil man...

Zohar would first seek out the person first for his own judgement, and then if he finds them worthy to be killed, he carries out his duty.

Due to this action, Zohar's most famously known as the [Silent Killer], while a lot of people don't know it was truly Zohar.
