Ezhil Sirju

It's stronger than me. The constant need to be around him. I don't completely understand it. Every time he steps inside the room my eyes instantly find him. Almost as if it was an automatic response.

His lips were moving, sharing information that was rather important but I couldn't pay any attention. Not when the suit he wore fit him so perfectly, showcasing his muscles he works hard on. Not when his freshly trimmed hair wasn't styled. His messy hair was left as it was, bringing out his beautiful eyes even more.

"Ezhil?" He calls for me. Turn his gaze away from his reflection to look directly at me. "Did you hear what I said?"

I shake my head as I try to hide my embarrassment.

"Sophia will be staying here for the time being. I have some matters to take care of." He replied so mysteriously, making me raise my eyebrows.

"What matters if you don't mind me asking?" I can see him thinking. His eyebrows knitted together for a brief moment. Probably contemplating whether or not he should share it with me.

He sighs as he directs his eyes back to the mirror. "Rhys was able to locate where Mr Reed is keeping women and children. I have to check out the place and see what can be done for them.."

"How long will that take?" I questioned him.

Marco now approached me. Sits down on his bed besides me. "A few days, possibly a week. Why? Will you miss me?" He questioned me amused. A smile slowly graced his face causing me to avert my gaze.

I swiftly stood up to distance myself from him. Wanted to keep my concern for myself but it slipped past my lips before I could stop myself. "Be careful." I say as my gaze is met with his and for a brief moment that's all we do. Stare into each other's eyes not saying a word. While I'm unsure of what to make out of my own emotions I can easily say that Marco wasn't an open book. Just like me he kept things buried deep inside of him.

"Sophia will be here soon. Two of my men will be keeping a watch on the both of you." He informed me.

All I could do was nod. Once he reached for the doorknob my breath hitched inside of my throat. An odd feeling built up in the pit of my stomach as I watched him close the door behind him. I realized how I didn't want him to leave. Yet I shouldn't want that. Marco is dangerous. He is the kind of man my mother has warned me about. The ones with the killer smiles and mysterious eyes.

I left his bedroom flustered. Touched my cheeks that felt warm. Slowly close my eyes as I take deep breaths. Desperately trying to calm my nerves down.

"What are you doing?" Sophia walked in. Her blond locks in a high ponytail. Her curious eyes searched me carefully for an answer.

"Nothing." I replied hastily. Playing with my hair as I try to seem normal, perhaps even natural.

Sophia glanced at me skeptically but decided to ignore me instead. She walks over the couch and lays down tiredly. I find myself sitting beside her. Conflicted and unsure, I stare at her.

"Just ask Ezhil, I promise I don't bite or at least I'll try." She said as her eyes were fixated on the television screen.

I laughed softly at her remark. "You know a lot about the Revello family, right?" I questioned her.

"Yeah, I do."

My eyes roam around the room. In case Marco has set up a secret camera to spy on me. I sigh as I sit up straight. "Did Marco..." I wavered, bit my bottom lip to stop the words from flowing out.

Curiosity has always been a part of me. Every detail, every story. I simply had to know everything. Yet now I wasn't too sure. Perhaps knowing a fraction of the mysteries that revolve around the Revello family will do me more harm than good. It might worsen the image of the family. Change the way I perceive them.
