As the they said, the center was set up in the building. Each building had a line of people the same age as me in lines according to their faction. Each building had a symbol on it representing each faction. The structure was simple, bage with the carving lage above the main entrance where each line was formed. All the way to the left was Amity where bright yellows, oranges and reds formed a line. Their symbol was a tree. Next to them was us, Candor. Our symbol was a balance. Representing our position in the system. Next to us in gray was Amity where a line of gray stood silently. My brother smirked at the group making a bad feeling blossom in my stomach. Their symbol was two hands holding. Next to them was dauntless but their line was non-exstant. Approparately, flames were in their circle to represent them. Finally Erudite in a perfect line of blue, stood before a building with and eye above them to represent their constant search of knowledge. My brother bumped my shoulder. Rather than approaching our line like mysel, he went over to the stiffs. He found a group of stiffs and tried getting their attention.

Hey, So all the food that we're not getting, you guys are giving away to the Factionless?"

A boy considerably shorter then my brother nodded backing away a bit from his taller form.

"Yeah."

I walked forward grabbing my brother's arm.

"Come on, Peter. Leave them alone."

He yanked his arm out of my hold.

"No."

He turned back to the the boy in front of him and the others raising his voice slightly.

"You're a liar. What are you lying to me? Everybody knows you keep it for yourselves. So why don't you just admit it? Huh?"

I grabbed his arm again.

"Peter, leave them alone."

He yanked his arm out of my hold again. The group stayed silent and he took a step forward to the group whos eyes were down cased.

"I'm talking to you. Are all you stiffs deaf or somethin? Hey!"

He pushed the boy he was talking to earlier. I grabbed his arm again but in a vice grip.

"Peter, let's go."

"No."

I glared up at him.

"You are not going to get a response from them. So just leave them alone."

I started walking away with Peter in tow. I saw Tia and dragged him over to the area. The sound of the train caught out attention. Kids in black were sticking their heads out. Then they were jumping out onto the grass area. Then where their line was non-existant was caotically lined just like the rest of ours. The doors opened and each door had an elder was ushering us in. The building met into a large lecture hall similar to yesterday but no center stage. It was more like our lecture classrooms for those that transfer to the faction. A women in blue stood walking back and forth looking at the sea of mixed colors. Tia sat on my right and Peter to my left.

"One hundred years ago, after the war, our founders created a system they believed would prevent future conflict and created lasting peace. Today, aptitude testing based on your personality will assign you to one of the factions..."

I rolled my eyes looked at Peter. I leaned close to his ear so I could whisper.

"Didn't we hear this yesterday."

A smirk found his way onto his face.

"Yes, but they need to make sure those that arn't that bright...like the stiffs... have understanding."
