I am in the Dautless compound. I furrow my eyebrows confused. I see Peter being dragged and strapped in a chair by cheap bands. Four and Eric were detaining him while other Dauntless members laughed at my brother's fighting form. I can't hear anything. I run towards the ruckus only to slam into an invisible wall. I look at it confused putting my hand flat against the surface. Peter is still fighting more. Then I felt a barrel on my neck. I stiffen and I turn finding Jeanine, gun in hand. Her hold was steady as she kept the barrel pointed at my head.

"I am sorry, Skylare, but we have to eliminate any potential threat."

I furrow my brows.

"What? But I am not Divergent..."

She smiled sad at me.

"No, but..."

She moves past me, right through the glass wall, walking to my brother. SHe looks back at me, gun not lowering from the back of my brother's head.

"....He is."

"No!"

I bring my fist up to the wall. I angle my hand just right making the glass shatter. I run at Jeanine, tackling the women to the ground. I wrestle her trying to get the gun. Two arms grab mine locking mine behind me. I looked back feeling betrayal as my eyes meet those of my friends. Tris, Tia, Edward, Al and Will. Each with guns or restraining me. Tia gave me a tired look.

"Your brother is an ass. Let her kill him. We are better off without him."

I let out a growl bring my weight forward to get out of my friends' grips. Another pair of arms replace those I escaped making me feel defeat bubble inside of me.

"He is my brother. Please!"

Jeanine looks at me, pity in her eyes. Peter has tears running down his face.

"Skylare, we can't make exceptions to the rule. If we don't illiminate him we can't illiminate the others."

I shake my head no. I feel more and more hands securing me in place. A tear runs down my face as my voice cracks.

"No. He is all I have left."

Jeanine sighs.

"How disappointing."

She nods to Max. Max caomes forward forcing a pistol in my hand. Jeanine moves her aim to me. Max studies me as orders leave his mouth.

"You either shoot him...or we shoot you and him."

I feel my hands let go of me. I could feel my hands shaking as the cold metal grew warm under my sweaty pulms.

"No...I can't."

Max shrugs.

"Then we sill you for protecting a divergent and then kill all your friends. All for protecting a Divergent lover."

I look at Peter who is shaking his head no at me.

"Sky no. They are lying. Please. Don't do this."

Tears fell down my face. A hiccup left me.

"I am sorry."

I turned a way pulling the trigger. A loud bang echoed in my ears.

A sob errupted from me as I came to. Eric looks down at me, Four looked to the computer screen brows scrunched together.

"Not a memory."
