"Who did this?"
"We don't know?"
"You are telling me that you couldn't pull any finger prings from her neck! Loot at it! Those are hand prints!"
"Eric, calm down, she will be ok."
"Calm down? Calm down!? That is your sister, Peter! You sould be freaking out, just as mush as me if not more!"
I felt someone brush back a stand of hair from my forehead.
"How do you think I reacted when i found her. She is a fighter, she will be up soon."
I cough catching the boy's attention.
"I'm up."
My voice was horse, rough and it hurt to speak. I felt shifting on the bed as someone else took a seat. I feel some vitals being taken. I strain my eyes to open. Squinting at the light as it was too bright and made my eyes hurt. I saw a doctor smiling down at me, making me annoyed.
"How are you feeling?"
"Like sunshine and rainbows, how do you think?"
"Well she didn't loose her mouth."
I glared over at Eric who had an amused grin on his face while the doctor let out a laugh.
"Dumb questions, sorry. You have a minor concussion and some bad bruising on your neck so it may hurt to speak for a few days. But you should be fine to continue through the session."
I give a thumbs up not really wanting to answer or respond to the information. Yay I get to continue being injected with torture syrum and relive my scariest moments of life.
"Skylar, do you know who did this to you?"
I turned to Eric who had his arms crossed awaiting for a answer. I shook my head.
"No. It is kinda fuzzy."
Eric sighs taking my hand into his.
"Do you remember anything at all? Any little thing can help us find who did this."
I shook my head.
"They were males but I can't...I can't remember faces."
The lie felt bitter in my mouth as I could remember Four's anger filled brown eyes stare down at me. His hands tightening around my throat. I heard Eric sigh. I turned my eyes back to him as he looked over at my brother.
"She is cleared, why don't you take her back to the dorms, make sure she gets sleep."
Peter nodded, helping me slowly sit up so he could wrap and arm around my shoulders. He helped me to my feet and kept me steady as I swayed at the sudden movement. I stumbled a bit but Peter made sure to keep me steady as we made our way through the halls to the dorms. Peter was gentle as he layed me down on the cot. The lights were out meaning the other initiates were already asleep. I wonder what time it was. Peter covered me with some blanked tucking them around me.
"You ok?"
I nodded my head unsure if he could see me. I heard his cot creak giving me the idea that he did. I allowed my eyes flutter shut unsure if I will actually fall asleep or not. Alarm blared startling me from the sleep I apparently got. The sound made my ears ring and groan as the lights made me dizzy.
"Attention, all initiates report for final teasing. All initiates report for final testing."
My brother sat down on my cot, dressed with an apologetic smile on his face.
"It wont be bad, you are still 3rd."
I glare over at him as I flung the blanket back.
"3rd before I was attacked and lost the last few days of practice. Say goodbye to 3rd place now."
