"Let's do it...." Damon whispers sitting opposite me on the couch with an expression of certainty that I hadn't seen in a while. I must've zoned out in a previous thought because I blinked again and shook my head, "sorry? Let's do what...the two-night Wembley 30th Anniversary Tour for Parklife?", I replied trying to hide the shock in voice. "I've been mulling it over and over these past few weeks and think you're onto something Mare. It'd be a great way to celebrate the anniversary and give the fans more of the shows they deserve before we take a break," said Damon reaching for my hand and giving a small but appreciative smile revealing his gold tooth that glinted in the light filtering through the artsy Kensington flat windows.
Shuffling forward from my position opposite him in the armchair I grabbed his hand and blowing out a sigh of apprehension, pulled him towards me for a hug and excitedly responded "oh my goddd, I didn't think you'd actually agree let alone consider these shows! I love you, it'll be amazing to see you back on stage with an audience who have always had your back and supported your career, plus...it's still hot seeing you on stage in frontman mode", now with a cheeky look on my face. "Ha! God what are you like, some things will never change and I'm glad",he laughed and gave me a big but gentle kiss then hugged once more.
It was moments like these where I look back and think of how we got here...my life up to the point of meeting Damon, with all the ups and downs of everything in between, up until now April 2024.
