As the night wore on the family chattered away, and of course the family photo album came out.
"Oh no mum...do we have to?", Damon groaned taking a big gulp from his wine glass upon seeing Hazel carrying a stack of albums. Keith and Jessica just laughed clearing enjoying seeing him squirm.
Maryanne placed the first album onto her lap and the first photo that greeted them? A stunning sepia tinted portrait photo of Hazel, with her two darling children. "Jeez, Damon and Jess.." Maryanne gushed..."You damn adorable do you both look? And Hazel, I can see where your children get their good looks from!"... "ohh stop it, well, your baby is going to have some phenomenal genes...you and Damon?? Gorgeous" Hazel beamed.
"Hey, don't forget about me," Keith joked, clearly not bothered but wanted to poke fun anyway. They all shared a laugh and carried on poring through the albums page by page. Maryanne was enthralled by how close the family appear to have always been. No wonder Damon was the lovely, considerate and beautiful soul he was. He was the product of his upbringing and it showed.
