10 - Caught in the Middle

Damon's POV

Maryanne to my right and Justine to my left. Oh god. Heaven and hell all at once.
I took a massive gulp of my beer from the bottle without bothering to re-fill my glass....

It also probably didn't help that I did a line before coming to the event, my nerves and senses were now heightened and I could definitely feel Maryanne looking at Justine and I from time to time.

Most of the feelings must have been stemming from the fact I definitely found Maryanne attractive and just a very lovely person, also throw into the mix that I already have a girlfriend.
While introductions were happening earlier with Justine and Maryanne, I could see a quick flash of maybe what looked like shock and disappointment from Maryanne, but she was good and hid it well.

The room erupted in applause as another award was handed out, this snapped me out of my thoughts and I joined in with the applause. The interval had now begun, giving us 15 minutes to use to the toilet and whatever.

"I'm just popping to the loo, Juss" I whispered to Justine and she glanced up and smiled. Before leaving the room I glanced over and saw Justine had turned in her seat to chat with Maryanne, whatever I just to take a breather got a minute, the gear was making me feel kinda on edge so hopefully a quick splash of water to my face could help?

I then went to sit in a cubicle and again not making the best choice took the baggy out my pocket and did a quick sniff.
