8 - Rehearsals

Damon's POV

I was standing in the rehearsal space at the studios in Central London just holding onto the top end of the microphone stand with my head down, partly in boredom and deep in thought about how I was envisioning the tour to go down. Alex, Dave and Graham were busy setting up and tuning their instruments when the door squeaks open and in comes Maryanne looking stunning as ever.

"Morning everyone!", she comes in like a ray of light, I don't know how she does it, just entering the room it's instantly brighter. I can't help but smile.

Dave who had been previously bashing away at the drums immediately stopped and shouted "go and cheer up Damon will you? He's been moping all morning!" Graham and Alex let out a teasing laugh...

"Ermm, no I haven't?? Anyway....How's it going Maryanne? Ready to smash out some Rehearsals?" Damon walked towards her scratching the back of his neck slightly embarrassed at how this made him look, then bent down to help her test her keyboard and set it up. "Ignore them, they're real wind ups sometimes," Damon said in a lowered voice so only she could hear. "It's ok, I'm just glad to be doing this with you all...I'm really bloody excited and hope to pick up some tips from you pro bunch," she laughed. "Oh, you're about to learn from the best," responded Damon with his signature wink.

Rehearsals went brilliantly and they got the set list perfected.

Management had come in as everyone was clearing away equipment and announced that they were invited to Media Music Awards 1994. Maryanne took this news of the upcoming event well and could tell she was excited, but Damon realised a public event might lead to some unwanted attention with his girlfriend Justine as the media had currently been causing upset to their relationship....but he was starting to feel like his 2 worlds were about merge.
