In the shadows of the heart, a fear does dwell,
A haunting presence, a story it does tell.
The fear of abandonment, a heavy weight to bear,
A relentless whisper of anxiety and despair.Like a ghost that lingers, cold and gray,
It whispers of loneliness in the light of day.
A constant worry, a gnawing dread,
Of being left behind, alone and misled. In the depths of the soul, it plants its seed,
Growing roots of doubt, making hearts bleed.
Afraid to trust, afraid to let others in,
Terrified of the pain that abandonment can bring. But in the darkness, there is a ray of light,
A glimmer of hope shining ever bright.
For in facing our fears, we find our strength,
We learn to let go, to go to any length. To heal the wounds, to mend the heart,
To embrace the fear and make a fresh start.
For in letting go of the fear that binds,
We find freedom, peace, and love that shines.
