Taehyung was in the shower, cleaning up, Jennie was in her room folding his blanket and putting them aside and make the bed again. She made sure put his belongings away and tidy up so that it was easier for him to use them later.

At the time, when she was busy placing his rings in a safe place that he had left of the nightstand, she spotted the flowers he had brought in the previous night. The flowers were still in a pretty good condition. The pink petals were just the kind she liked. She picked them up carefully and carried them to a glass where she could place them in water and make it stay longer.

Lifting them up to her nose, the sweet scent of the flowers relaxed her, bringing delight to her morning.

For a minute, the thought crossed her mind; Had he brought them for someone else and put it there so that he could give it to them today? Or was it just her imagination?

Like a connecting event, she remembered the girl from a few days ago, who linked arms with Taehyung and walked away in the corridor. The flowers could've been for her.

"I'll just put them in water any way. He needs them fresh to give them away," she talked to herself and continued her chore. Her mood had dropped a bit now. But she still kept her composure. She couldn't worry him with a fallen expression like that.

The bathroom door clicked, Jennie turned around naturally reacting to the sound. Taehyung stepped out, dripping wet. A towel around his waist and one over his shoulder, covering either sides of his chest.

Shaking off the water from his hair, he held the door open, not knowing Jennie was still in the room. When he looked up, Jennie was frozen there. No blinking, no moving, nothing.

Jennie was right with that astonished face, Taehyung wasn't any less of a hot male lead straight out of a drama. "I look like a meal right?" He smirked while drying his hair with the towel.

Jennie was forced out of her trance, instinctively, she said, "Yeah- I mean- what the fuck, cover up!"

She didn't move an inch, her eyes trailing him top to bottom. Taehyung was starting to shy away from her eyes. He was supposed to be flirting and teasing her, but he just couldn't help himself to not blush the way she had her eyes on him.

He quickly turned to hide his reddening face. He didn't realise he had just given her a 360 degree view of himself. His bare back and shoulders made it harder for Jennie to look away.

Who would miss that chance?

Jennie's expression changed in a second. "What's this?" She asked coming closer from across the room to him. She gently ran her fingertips on tiny red marks on his back.

He shivered at her touch a little, but in fact, the marks were not even hurting him. He remembered the reason; the rose he had put in his shirt on the day they went to meet Leah and Andrew in the Hospital.

flashback

"So you're gonna give that to her?" Andrew whispered in his ear. Taehyung shrugged in response. When it was finally time to leave, Taehyung walked behind her, almost preparing to give it to her. But one second thoughts stopped him.

"What if that garden boy and her already have something?" He lost the little confidence he had and crumpled the rose stem and shoved it in his bag.

When he pulled the rose out of his cloth, the cut off thorns with prickly edges scratched his skin, leaving marks that almost bled if not for the thorns cut off.

"Maybe it's not time yet," he said and managed to hide it from her.

"That's um... Nothing. I got a few bruises at work. The place is pretty unclean, overgrown vines and stuff. Just got scratched a bit," he coated his lie but only true about the scratching part.
