Tommy knows that he is just a milestone for buck. He knows what the end goal is.

Tommy and buck had been dating for a few weeks. One day Tommy takes buck to work and sticks around since he doesn't have work.

As soon as they get there buck kisses Tommy's cheek before going to work out with eddie

Hen and chimney give him teasing looks but he just shakes his head. He walks upstairs and stands next to hen and chimney.

They had all know each other before Bobby became captain. Before he can make it to them they start moving

Hen walked towards him

"so what's it like to date our buck?" She asks

"It's great but we aren't actually dating" Tommy responds

"What? Buck hasn't shut up about your dates since the first one happened" chimney says confused

"Chimney is right he hasn't. It sure seems like your dating" hen says and Tommy smiles

"It's more like a mentorship then a relationship." Tommy says and chimney looks confused

"What does that mean?" Chimney asks and crosses his arms

"We have fun and I'm sure we could be good friends but I'm just a milestone not the end goal" Tommy says confidently.

Hen smiles but chimney just looks more confused

"I get it" hen says and puts a hand on his shoulder smiling

Chimney huffs like a child

"Well I don't. Why do you need to mentor him?" Chimney says annoyed slightly

"Buck needs some experience because one day someone else will need him to be the strong one" Tommy says confidently and looks out off the balcony

The three of them can see buck and eddie laughing and smiling. They were never more then a few feet away from each other

It all seemed to click for chimney. He chuckled and smiled.

"Thanks" chimney says to Tommy

"Just don't hurt him too bad" hen said with a tone that said she would kill him if he did

"Got it. I'll make sure he leaves me" Tommy says knowing he already had a plan

He was going to help buck get comfortable with himself then show him that he was in love with his best friend.

After that he started his plan. The first 2 week he taught buck about everything there was to being with a man

Love languages still are different for each man but usually flowers isn't what they want.

He got buck gifts and treated him sweetly because he wanted to but also he wanted buck to know how he should be treated.

The next 2 weeks he focuses on showing buck off. He started small holding buck's hand around people.

In the beginning of their relationship buck confessed he had dated a guy but his boyfriend didn't want anyone to know so buck couldn't hold his hand or show any love infront of people.

Buck was surprised but happy. The next he started hugging him and kissing him at the door of the firehouse when he went in for work

When he did this he saw how eddie glared at him but it just made Tommy more resolve in what he was doing.
