Buck tells chris that he has everything buck ever wanted.
------------------------------------------------------------

One day buck is babysitting chris while eddie helps his abuela. The day started out good.

Buck made them breakfast before eddie left. Then buck helped chris with homework.

"So what do you wanna do now" Buck asks sense they had the rest of the day together

"Can we go to the fair?" Chris asks and buck looks guilty.

He knew he should clear it by eddie before taking him but he didn't know what was going on at abuela's.

he didn't wanna call and bug eddie if he was busy. He also didn't wanna disappoint chris so he took a deep breath

"I'll have to clear it by your dad and he might be busy so it might be a minute before he answers." Bobby says and chris frowns

"Why does he always have to know? He knows everything. I wish he would stop paying attention to me so much" chris says and buck frowns

"Alright I will send the text and then we are sitting down." Buck says texting eddie before taking chris to the couch.

"I wanna tell you a story." Buck says sitting next to chris turning to look at the boy.

Chris looks suprised but nodded. Chris could tell by how serious buck was that it wasn't a normal story.

"Once upon a time in a little town a family lived in a nice house. They looked like the perfect family." Buck says and chris looks confused

He could tell chris was also interested so buck continued to tell the story.

"There was a mom, dad, daughter and a son. The neighbors thought they were a happy little family" Buck says and takes a deep breath

"But it was far from the truth. The parents cared more about the way they looked to others then paying attention to their kids. " Buck says and chris finally speaks

"Why would someone care about that more then their kid?" Chris asks confused and buck shrugs

"I don't know." Buck says waiting for anymore questions begore he continues his story

"The kids knew their parents didn't pay attention to them. They started raising eachother but they never stopped trying to get their parents attention" Buck says having memories.

"The girl became a rebel. She stayed up late, dating bad guys and just overall being a rebel. It brought her attention but not the type she wanted." Buck says and chris frowned.

"She just wanted them to do her hair or help with homework. She wanted them to care about where she was going" Buck says pointedly and chris looked at his lap.

Buck wasn't done with the story get. He took another deep breath wanting to stay calm.

"The boy started climb trees or ride his bike over trash cans trying to get their attention but they didnt care. He broke a lot of bones trying ro get them to care." Buck says and chris looks suprised. .

"Then as he got older he got in fights, reck his motorcycles and anything else he could think of they would get them to pay attention" Buck looks at chris and he looked shocked.

"Did it work" chris asks his voice small now.

"No. They just called him reckless and left him in the hospital alone. He didn't stop trying neither of them did. They tried everything but it never got their attention." Buck says and chris is frowning.

"She moved on and married someone bad because he paid attention to her. It didn't end well for her, she got hurt really bad" buck says and chris looks at him.

Chris looked suprised and like he wanted to know the rest. "The boy continues to get in trouble and hurt but it doesn't work. Eventually he leaves and excepts he will never get the love he wanted." Buck says and chris looks sad.

"What about her?" He asks and buck smiles a little

"She joined her brother and they promised it would be them against the world." Buck says finishing his story.

"Why did you tell me this story?" Chris asks to truly understanding.

He knows he was being a little mean about his dad knowing where they were going but it felt more then that.

"Because chris. The story is my life. I was the little boy and auntie Maddie was the girl" Buck says shocking chris

"Y-you and auntie maddie?" He asks and chris nodded

"Your dad may be a little much sometimes but at least he cares. You have everything I could have ever wanted as a kid so enjoy it" Buck says and chris nods hugging him

"We won't ever ignore you" chris says and buck smiles

"I know you won't" buc says and then his phone vibrates.

"Your dad texted back that we can go" Buck says and chris get up to get ready.

Buck felt a lot better. Chris has a better additude about his dad and they end up having a blast at the fair.

When buck goes home chris looks at his dad seriously "whats wrong mijo?" He asks and chris frowned.

"I hate bucks parents" he says and eddie looks suprised

"Why?" Eddie asked not knowing chris knew anything about them.

"They didn't pay attention to buck when he was a kid. Buck told me. I'm sorry I always complain about you paying attention to me. I won't do it anymore, I'm glad you pat attention to me" chris said and eddie hugs him.

He asked buck about it the next time they saw eachother. "Oh yea. Sorry if you didn't want him to know. It was just the best way I could think of to get him to understand" Buck says and eddie shakes his head

"Why have you never told me the story you told chris?" Eddie asks and buck shrugged

"Never came up" Buck says and eddie hums.

"Well now it has so Why don't you tell me the story" eddie asks and they sit together.

They talk about it and it feels nice to get it out to someone who understands. Eddie held him after and they promised chris would never go through what they did.
