new recruit

Eddie gets in a fight with the new recruit because he talks bad about buck. ------------------------------------------------------------

B shift got a new guy after one of their firefighters left due to family issues.

The new guy seemed nice enough. He worked hard and was a good firefighter.

Eddie had only seen him in passing between shift changed but the guy seemed friendly.

Then one day eddie had taken an overtime shift which meant he was on B shift.

It started fine. He got changed said hi to a few people he knew from B shift and headed upstairs.

Bobby had also taken the overtime so it was just them out of A shift. Eddie got a coffee in a to go cup before heading back down for the gym.

On his way he heard chuckling. He listened and frowned when he heard it.

"I heard buck slept with anyone he saw. That's kinda pathetic" the new guy said and everyone chuckled

He said another comment and eddie wanted to just go over and spill his coffee on the guy but held back.

He worked out and when he was almost done the new recruit walked in.

"Eddie was it? I'm James" he says and Eddie's anger is back.

He puts the weights down before rushing towards the dude.

He grabs his shirt and knows he must look pretty scary.

"Keep buck's name out of your mouth or I'll make you pay." He says and the guy looked a little scared.

He didn't know eddie so he didn't know just how scared he should have been.

Eddie left and yelled at the others. Each of them said sorry before rushing off to do something.

Later eddie had just finished eating and was headed downstairs Because he needed his phone charger.

When he gets down the stairs he hears hushed voices. He walks towards it to hear better.

"Shh you need to stop making fun of buck. He is actually pretty cool" one of the B shift people say and eddie makes a mental note not to yell at her

Then he hears it. The new recruits voice.

"Oh come on what is going to happen? That guy is going to come after me? He isn't even scary and he is just trying to protect his usless slut of a friend" the guy said and eddie saw red.

He turned the corner and before the guy could even think eddie hit him. The man held his nose before swinging at eddie.

Eddie's training kicked in and he grabed the man's fist turning him and kicking him in the back.

The girl rushes off to get Bobby. The two continue to fight. Eddie thought he was going to kill him.

Eddie pinned the guy down and was punching his face over and over not stopping.

Bobby arived and pulled eddie off of him. The girl checks to make sure the dude is breathing.

Bobby is about to yell at eddie when she speaks.

"James was talking bad about buck calling him a usless slut and eddie got mad" she said and Bobby looked pissed.

"I'll give you a choice, you can either quit or you can be transfered because I won't allow that under my roof" he said and James looked shocked.

"I'd rather be tranfered" he said quietly.

"Good tomorrow will be your last shift" Bobby said before leaving and taking eddie with him.

They finished the shift without any more problems. Eddie goes home and says goodbye to Carla and goes to bed.

Buck is at work before eddie the next day. When he walks in he sees the new guy with a black eye and busted lip.

As soon as the guy saw buck he ran. Buck wondered why but then hen walked up.

"So eddie got in a fight yesterday" she said and he looked suprised

"Cool headed eddie?" He asks and she nodded.

"With who?" He asks and then his brian clicked it together. He looked at her shocked.

"The new guy?" He asks and she nodded.

This made him more confused.

"Why?" He asks and she shrugged

"All I know is he was talking bad about one of use I'm assuming you and eddie layed him out" hen says and then eddie walks in.

Other then a busted lip he looked perfect. Buck was suprised and hen patted his shoulder before leaving.

Buck followed eddie to the locker room.

"So why exactly did you get in a fight with the new guy?" Buck asks and eddie bits his lip

"He called you a usless slut. I saw red and didn't even realize I was doing something until bobby dragged me off of him" eddie said and buck was surprised

"You beat the shit out of him because he called me a few names?" Buck said and eddie blushed.

"Thank you" Buck said and eddie nodded.

"Nobody gets to go around talking shit about my partner unless they wanna fight me" eddie said making buck laugh.

"Bobby is transferring him after he found out" eddie says and buck sighs.

"You two are so protective not that I mind" Buck says and they go about their day ignoring James and just enjoying their time.
