9-1-1 oneshots

please. come home. (spoilers)

A month after chris leaves he tells buck to bring him home.

It's been almost a month since chris left to his grandparents.

At first buck just tried to keep Eddie's hope going but after the 2nd week he stopped also losing hope.

Buck tried to come over in the beginning but it was hard not seeing chris and eddie would just stay in chris' room crying.

Buck knew eddie slept in chris' bed every night and when buck tries eddie refuses to do anything other then go to work.

After the 3rd week they stopped hanging out and everyone at work could tell everything was falling apart for them.

By the month mark Buck couldn't handle this anymore. Eddie is a shell of himself, he doesn't talk, he barely eats. Buck knows chris hasn't talked to his dad since he left.

Chris hasn't called buck either and it hurts. He misses the kid and can feel himself also turning into a shell.

He calls chris and is surprised when chris answers. "Hi buck" chris says his voice not filled with the happiness it used to have.

"How are you?" Buck asks and chris just explode

"Not good at all. I hate it here, it's hot and there is nothing to do. I miss dad, you and Carla. I tried to tell them i'm ready to go home but they told me I can't go home yet." Chris says and bucks heart breaks.

He should have called sooner. "Oh buddy of course you can come home. Is that all that happened?" Buck asks sensing there was more chris was hiding.

"I.. I'm sad. I was mad at dad but now I'm just sad. I thought it was real. Everytime I get sad they tell me it's dad's fault and that I'd be better off here." Chris says and buck gets upset.

"Your allowed to be sad and yes it is your dad fault but that doesn't mean you'll be better off there." Buck says and can hear Chris cry.

"I wish I could just see you and dad. How is dad? Is he mad at me?" Chris asks and buck has to think about how to say it.

Buck and chris promised never to lie to eachother so he knows he has to tell the truth. He just knows it's also going to hurt chris.

"He isnt mad he never will be. He isn't doing too good. He misses you, I'm honestly worried chris about you both" Buck says sadly

"What wrong with dad?" Chris asks and buck sighs.

"He doesn't talk, doesn't eat much, we don't hangout and he spends all his free time in your room crying" he says bluntly and can hear Chris crying more.

"If you wanna come home and are ready I'll come get you right now nobody has to know" Buck offers and hopes chris will agree

"Yea. I wanna go home, i don't wanna fight my grandparents to go." He says and buck smiles.

"Already. I'll be there later tonight ok? I want you to pack a bag full of clothes and things you want to take and hide it under your bed. I'll come get you and it through your window once they think your asleep" Buck says and can hear Chris getting things.

"Alright I love you buck" he says and bucks heart fills.

"I love you too" he says before hanging up

He knows he can't actually just go get chris without anyone knowing or he could get charged with kidnapping.

He calls athena and is glad when she picks up. "Hey buck everything ok?" She asks in her sweet mom tone.

"No its not. Chris' grandparents won't let him leave so I'm on my way to get him and bring him home. I'm not telling anyone else not even them so I wanted you to know before a missing kid alert comes out" he says and is glad when she is on his side

"I'll make a few calls so when you bring him home they can't even make one" she says and he is so greatful for her.

"Thank you athena" he says softly

"Just be safe and bring him home" she says and they end the call.

Buck leaves and he is suprised he didn't get a ticket with how fast he was driving. He got to their house around 2am.

Buck parks on the road and sneaks to his window. Chris is sitting there waiting. "Chris" he wispers and when they boy sees him he smiles

"Bring me your bag" buck says and chris does. He then gets chris through the window and they leave.

Buck knew it would make his grandparents freak out but he didn't care

When they got back they go straight to eddie's. Its just past 5am now and the sun is starting to rise.

Buck lets them in and eddie is on the couch. When the door opens eddie looks over and his face changes to shock when he sees Chris.

"Hi dad" Chris says nervously and eddie is tripping over himself to get to chris.

He hugs him and they both cry. "I'm so sorry mijo" Eddie says into his hair.

"I missed you dad" Chris says crying into his dad chest.

Once they are calm they explain what happens to eddie and he chuckles. "Only you buck would do that. What about my parents they will file a missing person" eddie says and buck shakes his head.

"Already dealt with. I called athena she should have already notified the police there that I took him home and he is not missing.

Chris looked at his dad and was sad from what he saw. His dad was thin, his eyes were sunk in and had black rings around them.

Chris knew that this was due to his dad not sleeping well. Chris had tried to come home a few weeks ago.

Chris had wanted to come home after the 2nd week at his grandparents but they convinced him his dad wasn't ready for him to be back.

He curled up next to his dad. "I'm never leaving again" chris says and then tells his dad about everything.

He tells him about how his grandparents refused to let him do anything for himself even eat. How they insisted he was baby when he told them he wasn't.

Chris could see his dad getting mad but when he tells the rest he sees his dad get pissed. "They told me you were mad and didn't want me to come home" chris says sadly

Eddie is about to expload when buck puts a hand on his knee. "We can deal with that later." Buck says and they both just hold chris for a bit.

Buck let's athena know they are both back home safe. Then they all go to sleep in Eddie's bed. Chris and eddie holding onto eachother tighter then buck had ever seen. buck holds them both as they sleep peacefully.

They knew his grandparents would try something but they didn't care. Chris was home and they couldn't take him away this time.
