Buck knew what he had to do. He and hen had made a good plan but buck was still nervous about it.
The first step was to tell chris which wasn't easy when eddie is always 2 feet away from him.
Buck tried to come up with ideas of how to get chris away from his dad long enough buy he came up with nothing.
Then an opportunity shows itself to buck. Eddie took an extra shift so he couldn't go get chris from school himself.
That's when buck stepped in "I can get him. I'm already on the list and I'm off so it's no big deal" Buck says and eddie looks relieved.
"Really? Thanks that would be great. I'll meet you at my house after I get out of here" eddie says and buck smiles
"Good luck, see you later" Buck says leaving now that he had the go ahead to get chris
It was a perfect time to talk to chris away from his dad. Buck want sure what he was going to say and he arrived at the school quicker then he would have liked.
He walks into the building and chris is in the office eating snacks like he usually is.
He can't stand with the other kids who wait for their parents so he hangs out with the office people tell his dad, buck or carla get him.
Buck sees chris before chris sees him. Chris is reading a book while he snacks.
The lady at the desk is new. Buck knows because he goes to every parent teacher meeting and picks chris up with eddie often so he had got to know the office ladies.
When she looks up from her computer she smiles but it doesn't feel warm.
"How can I help you?" She asks and buck gets his ID out knowing he will need it since she is new.
"I'm here to pick up Christopher diaz" he says and chris looks up when he sees him
"Buck" chris says smiling and waving
Buck waves back and the lady grumbles. "ID please" she asks and he hands it to her
She types on her computer before looking at him "You can't pick him up" she said and buck is confused
"Why not?" Buck asks and she sighs
"Your not the parent" she says and he blinks in suprise.
"That doesn't matter I am on the list that are allowed to pick him up" Buck says and chris gives him a worried look.
She rolls her eyes and buck has had enough. He walks further into the office to chris.
"Hey wait here I'll be right back" he says to chris who smiles
"You can't be back there" she says and buck ignores her walking towards the principle's office
She tries to stop him but he is faster and knocks before she reaches buck. She is stood frozen and buck is sure it's because she knows she messed up.
The principle opened the door and smiles "Oh hello buck is everything alright?" She asks seeing buck wasn't smiling
"Actually its not. Your new employee told me I can't pick my son up due to me not being his parent" Buck says and the new girl gives him a shocked look
"He is lying. He isn't listened as the child's parent" she says trying to defend herself but the principle wasn't having it
"But he is listed." The principle said and buck was going to speak when the new girl cut him off
