285. Neil's emotional breakdown

Neil was able to see his parents walking towards a circle of light and he ran towards them. 

He held his mom's hand but she wasn't even looking at her. Neil shook his Dad's arm but neither of them reacted. 

He stumbled on the surface and fell on his knees while his parents didn't even turned. He tried to go behind them but was held by his relatives. He struggled to get out of their grip but couldn't.

He saw his parents stepped together in the circle of light and pushing everyone away from him, Neil ran to his parents but as he reached the circle vanished and he collapsed. 

All he could see was darkness and suddenly he was able to see his relatives, some criticising him, some berating him, some hitting him while he was curled up, mummering his emotions which no one ever understood.

Feeling Neil's push, Mini fell back and was shocked.

Neil: Maa... Dad... Nahi!... 

Mini looked at him as his struggle calmed but then she saw him curling up on the bed, holding on the comforter close to himself while mummering under his breath.

Mini needed to concentrate in hearing him out to understand his words.

She saw him getting crumbled while crying in mumbles.

Neil: No... No it's not true.... I am not seeking attention... I am not planning it... I am not playing a victim card... I don't want any sympathy... Aap kabhi samjhoge hi nahi... I never wanted to disgrace you... I am not doing it intentionally... Don't call me that... Aisa nahi hai... Lagta hai mujhe bhi bura... I also feel embarrassed... But listen... Pls listen to me... Let me explain... Suno par... Nahi... To chod kyu nahi dete mujhe.... Jab kisi ko sunna hi nahi hai mujhe kaisa lagta hai to farak kya padta hai?.... Main jiyu ya mar hi kyu na jaau aapko kya?.... Aapke sar se to bojh utar gaya na ek manhoos ka!... Just go away!... Let me die peacefully!... Go!

Mini couldn't hold on herself back and just listen him mummering. She picked up the glass from side table and splashed the water on Neil's face.

Neil woke up with a jolt and opened his eyes with a gasp.

Seeing Mini in front of him, he immediately wrapped her in a bone crushing hug. 

Mini froze while his head got buried in her neck but got shocked when he cried.

Mini's arms circled around him and she firmly rubbed his back.

Mini: Aaram se... Relax...

Neil's hold was very tight on her. He was hugging her as if his life depends on it. Mini patted on his back and stroked his head.

After a few mins, when Neil actually got out the the influence of nightmare, he parted from her and scooted back, folding his legs towards himself.

Mini saw his hands were shivering while he wiped off his tears. His eyes were swollen and red because of crying so much.

Mini poured water in the glass and forwarded it to him. He sobbed hard with a flushed and embarrassed expression and sipped some water not even able to look in her eyes.

Mini stood on her knees and wrapped her arms around him from side.

Clinging him against herself, she made him rest his head on her chest.

Neil wrapped his arms around his knees and shrunk himself while Mini was trying to comfort him.

She was able to feel Neil shuddering against her.
