"We have your boyfriend, if you want him back, you're gonna have to find us... yeah, okay that's cool, can you open the door, I did knock but it seems you're all about as ignorant as you are stupid. Bye now."
I waited, and waited, but there was nothing. So I kicked the door in myself. The guns pointed right at my head as he stand high and mighty on his stairs. "Is this like a, Star Wars joke? Because I'll be honest, I did not watch the whole thing."
"Gaining friends made you a jokester." I tut, waving my hand at him. "You're such a flirt. Isn't he so funny- I have always been a jokester. So fuck you, because that hurt my feelings. Where is he?"
"Oh you have feelings too?" He asked. "You're being really annoying, like- Disney channel villain. It's sort of giving me the creeps. Is anybody else feeling that?"
A few of them raised their hands and I watched his body almost go limp. "Oh, you weren't aware? Yeah no when you went to see your- awful friend yesterday, I was here. Buying out your guards. It's a wonderful thing, money."
"They don't care, they're all paid weekly, you just gave them an allowance." I hummed, making my way down the hall, knocking things over like an idiot. "Oh well aren't I just the best mother in the fucking world. Once I'd paid them, we were quick to bond."
I take the sucker from my mouth. Smiling at him as I stopped right by his feet. "You've gotten smaller Malcom, are you getting old? Or is it your depletion in power that's making you shrink?"
"I don't lose Harry." I grab his face, digging my nails into his cheeks. "I forgot you existed Malcom, I was willing to let you live. But you fucked up, now I will rip you limb from fucking limb, and if I find out that you hurt a single hair on his pretty little head, I will do it slowly."
"You can't do shit to me. You kill me, you have no where to run from the amount of people that will be after you." I drop my hand. "I'm sorry? In what world, are you still relevant? Because if I remember right, nobody even wanted you in this one. It took me five minutes to get your whole team, to go against you. And it took me that amount of time to get out of the tape. I mean- at this point I just feel bad, and I mean-" somebody taps me on the shoulder.
"Hm?" I lean back, almost throwing up in my mouth as he continues to speak. "He said all that to Louis?" The guy nods firmly. "Do you enjoy using people's past traumatic memories against them? Because most of the time I say no. But I think this one time, I'll let it happen."
"You won't do anything. You'll have to go and get him and by the time you get back, I'll be gone." I take a step back. "That's true. But I did make friends. And this is a very big house with doors that lock, lots of places for them to play. So now that I've stalled and I've, shared my humour and gotten a couple jokes out, I'll go. And let you have this. I hope you suffer, in hell. I hope it's so awful and disgusting, that you want to kill yourself. Bye now."
I tap the bannister. "Give me two minutes to get Louis out then he's all yours. Leave the guards, they're leaving, go, hurry. They're not the most generous people. Lock the door."
I make my way out into the back room, holding my hands firmly by my side. "Louis."
I close the door carefully, locking it so that he was safe. "Come on. I'm not going to touch you I swear. I just need you to follow me before-"
It started, the music was playing, loudly. It wasn't even music that would just make you jump a little. It was old, and slow, and it made your heart race because you could still hear everything around you. "What's wrong?"
"I just need you to move faster Louis. Please. I have kept you from this so far and I am not stopping now. Come on." He walks out into the backyard. Jumping at the washing line.
