"Why do you make these paper flowers?" He asked, looking at her through the mirror.
"They don't wither like the real ones." She replied, aligning the entire bunch of paper flowers.
"But they don't have the fragranc...

"You literally flipped at me for using a louder tone with Bhai. But you used the same tone that day! Should I lecture you as well?" Siddhant asked, wrapping his flowers into a thin paper.
It's been three days since Agastya and I argued. None of us uttered a single word to each other after that night. It was just Ishika who informed me that Agastya legit barged into my house to kill Nirvaan, or whatever the hell his name was.
I realise I was at fault. We could have lost Siddhant. Agastya's anger seemed valid too, but I can't go on doubting people just like that. I need to know what's going on. I can't read minds.
"Megha, I am not gonna take sides. You both are wrong but somebody has to say something. This silence is killing me." He can be so overdramatic.
"I have nothing to say to him unless he decides to share what is going on. And about the silence, it has always been like this. It's you who has talked the most."
"I hope you know that he is not allowed to share information about any of his missions, yeah?"
He really won't let me study.
"Then he cannot expect me to just know or understand things out of nowhere." I raised my hand to pick up my pen, my hand had an extreme shiver.
Damn it!
Siddhant was typing on his phone. I excused myself and went to the kitchen. I took out a few ice cubes, collected my books and disappeared into my room.
I rubbed the ice over my face and around my neck. This was a temporary yet the quickest solution to anxiety. I don't even remember the day I had the last panic attack. It actually has been a while. My phone beeped with a text notification.
Yup, I have stopped putting it on silent.
'You okay?' It was Ishika.
Timing!
No!
'Yes!' I replied.
'Come to my place for sometime. You'll feel good.' came another response.
'I'm fine. Besides, I've my exams in a week. Really just wanna focus on my studies at this point.' I typed and sent it.
'You need anything, I'm just a call away, okay?'
'I know.'
Few hours later, Agastya's arrival in the room made me realise that I had lost track of time while solving a few equations. He headed straight to the bathroom without even sparing a glance in my direction.
Then why the hell am I even looking?
And why am I even hoping he will look at me?
"Megha. Focus." I whispered to myself and closed my books.
