"Why do you make these paper flowers?" He asked, looking at her through the mirror.
"They don't wither like the real ones." She replied, aligning the entire bunch of paper flowers.
"But they don't have the fragranc...

"Bhai?"
She left me.
She may never, ever talk to me.
"Agastya?" Sid tapped on my shoulder.
"Yeah?"
"Chill, man! Why are you yelling at me?" He shook his head and sat next to me.
Was I really that loud?
"Sorry. I did not realise." I cleared my throat.
"You are not realising anything, are you?" He let out a little sigh as he rested his hand around my shoulder.
"As in?"
"How are you?" He shifted his chair so he could face me.
"I am okay."
"Okay? Seriously?" He inhaled sharply and exhaled shakily. "Agastya, for once, it's okay to let things go, you know?"
"I mean, I am just worried about her well-being, that's all. I am okay."
I looked away from him.
"When was the last time you slept properly? Or ate a proper meal?" He demanded.
"Don't boss over me. Go to sleep."
"It's just evening."
"Then eat your food." I scoffed at him.
"We just ate dinner. You did the dishes as well, don't you remember?" His voice sounded as if he felt pity for me.
"What do you want from me, Sid?"
"Why did you let her go just like that?" He sighed, giving up.
"She needs time, that's all. She will come back to Shillong, that I know." I cleared my throat. He passed me a glass of water.
"And about here?"
She. Would. Never. I mean, she said the forever thing was fake. Like this marriage, NO, arrangement.
"I think I will just sleep now. Good night." I stood up from the chair.
"Okay, don't tell me. But please talk to someone. I don't like this version of you." He patted my back.
"Wasn't I like this before she came in?"
He shook his head in response.
I am so fucking doomed.
"Also, Siddhant," I waited till I had his full attention. "Don't let this come between you and Ishika."
I cannot let him suffer because of me repeatedly.
"I know, but yeah, thank you for saying this."
I headed to our...my room and locked it from inside. Nothing had changed. Sid was very kind enough to handle the laundry and everything, otherwise there would have been a heap of clothes around.
