"Agastya!"
I don't know but there's just something about the way she says my name. I opened my eyes and I realised my head was on her shoulder. I quickly sat up straight.
It must be too heavy for her.
"Sid needs your help." She spoke. He insisted that I and Megha go home. And that was enough to have them all bickering. I thought I would be staying with him but Ishika wanted to be with him.
I was too tired to process it all and somewhat sleepy as well. I asked Megha if we could leave as she was talking to Ishika. She looked...anxious. I drove us home. She asked me if I wanted some turmeric milk.
All I wanted at that moment was some sleep. Then she told me to give her company in her drink. To get it over with quickly, I gave in and finally got out of my uniform. After we were done drinking, I waited for her to finish the little bit of cleaning up.
"Please go. This will just take a few minutes. I can manage without your help for a few minutes. You'd still be a gentleman for me." She spoke.
Woah!
Well...
I did as she told me and I slept as soon as my head hit the pillow.

I woke up to something stinging on my hand. I tried to move my hand away, but there was strong resistance. I turned on the smaller lamp.
Megha was holding onto my hand, her nails digging into my skin. She looked very disturbed. I know it is very embarrassing to be woken up by someone else during a nightmare but to live through that shit alone is just worse.
I woke her up, and she sat up with a jolt.
She must be barely twenty-three and she has already seen so much.
God, have some mercy on your humans.
"Shit, I am so sorry." She realised she was holding onto my hand and let it go.
"Relax. Calm down. Are you okay?"
I stood up to give her some water.
"Yeah. Just a bad dream." She cleared her throat, her voice was so feeble.
You don't have to feel bad about any of it, please.
"Here you go."
She finished the water on a go.
"Take it easy. We are okay and safe in our room." I spelled every word carefully so she could hear me amidst her heavy breaths.
"I am really sorry for that," She pointed at my wrist as I took the glass from her and kept it on the table.
"Everything is fine. Breathe. It's okay. It happens." I sat next to her on the bed after turning off the lamp.
"Get some rest, we can talk about this tomorrow. There is nothing to be embarrassed or scared or sorry about."
