"That's what you always wanted, right? You got it! Now that doesn't mean you get to see it again

"That's what you always wanted, right? You got it! Now that doesn't mean you get to see it again. You have lost that right!"

What?

I mean...

She is angry. She is upset. She is just trying to hurt you as much as you did. Let her be.

But that–

No. Don't. You are better than fighting with her over this. She is hurt. Nine fucking stitches is no joke.

Still, she has no right to say stuff like that.

It took me some time to get a grip on myself before I asked her to open the door. She did. I made sure not to look at her at all.

Make sure you don't yell, but she should know she cannot say stuff like that.

And I think I ended up blabbering all that was going through my head. It was so fucking painful to even listen to that.

You have to just let this be. Despite how upset and angry she is, she put the blanket on me.

She was so affected when I was changing her bandages.

She was jealous.

She just needs some time to process things. Don't take it to heart and ruin the future.

Is there a future? How are you so sure?

I can't bear this pessimism, please!

I could feel the blood drumming in my head, and I decided to head home. I mean, to Megha's house.

She had dozed off on the couch while sitting. I locked the door and changed into something comfortable before I woke her up. I could have lifted her and put her to bed, but not after what she said.

I helped her stand up. She was trying to say something, but it was useless, especially at this point. No, I am not giving up, I just cannot bear her words.

Her ankle was far better, but she was still limping. I gave her the meds and massaged her ankle. I fixed the pillows around her straight arm.

She opened her mouth to say something.

"Good night." I turned off the lights and went to the couch.

That was too harsh!

I can choose to not listen to her when my head is not okay, no?

I will make it up to her.

****

I opened the door and there she was, sitting in a black saree. She had a small smile on her face as she saw me.

She got up and turned around, her back at me as she kept walking.

"Don't look! You have lost that right!" She giggled and then she was sitting with some man. Both of them were having vanilla ice-cream with coffee sprinkled over it.
