"Agastya, it's Monday already. She was looking for train tickets for tomorrow." Sid sat next to me as I sipped my coffee after the jog. She was still in our room.

"So?"

"What the....seriously?" Sid sighed as he wrapped his arm around me. "Agastya, it's about time you face it. Whatever has transpired between you two is not just by chance or due to the stupid circumstances."

"What do you want me to do? Tell her she cannot go and end her career as well? She already lost her father because of me."

I mean, if not for me, she must have been in Pune by now, with her father. Happy too, perhaps. Away from the unnecessary chores and my personal bullshit.

She has always kissed me back.

She was jealous when she saw me and Amara.

She cuddles almost every night.

She told me I was important.

But it all would have never happened if she weren't married to me.

Abso-fucking-lutely!

"Are you even listening?" He snapped his fingers in front of my face.

"What?" I rested back on the couch.

"I am saying, now that the sun is in your life, don't let it go that easily. There are banks in Shillong. There are bankers here too. She is doing an MBA as well. What if she lands up in a better opportunity than she is getting there?" He lowered his volume a bit.

"What if she wants to go?" I looked at him.

"My God! So you cannot see it?" He scoffed.

"See what, Sid?"

I knew he was dumb and that he cannot cook, but this man can be very sharp and bright when it comes to it.

"I will not be the mediator, not when everything is front of you." He shook his head. "Still, just to lead you somewhere, why do you think everything is so silent in the house?" He tapped on my knee before standing up.

Well, yeah! Why is the house so silent?

I am because I don't want her to go.

Sid is because he is not happy with how things are working out.

Megh, well, she is sad about leaving her home town and Sid and Ishika.

If she was worried about Shillong, she wouldn't have been open to other cities. Sid and Ishika, she can keep in touch too. They are all already doing distance.

Then why the fuck is she silent?

Varun?

I could feel my head throbbing despite my coffee. I downed it in a go and went to my room. She closed her bag and lifted it. The trolly bag looked way too big. As soon as she saw me, she put it down.
