016 - A happy seizure

CHAPTER 16

This morning was intense.

The boys tried to set us up. It was cute by their side.

I'm only saying that because Newt and I had a moment where no one could interrupt.

Well, they did- but that's not the point. I kissed him. Again. Twice. I went to my hut after this. It felt good but also wrong. We are trapped in a Maze.

Is it time for love?

Then it was afternoon. I had skipped lunch. I didn't want to show up and have them questioning. I got out of my hut leading myself to the Med-hut.

Clint and Jeff weren't there yet so I sat on my chair waiting for someone to come in. A patient, Clint, Jeff anyone.

Then someone, out of anyone, walked in.

"Hey". It was Newt. "Can I come in?"

"Hm, sure". I replied. I was mentally screaming. Did he come to talk? Or was he injured? I got up and he was walking closer to me.

I stood in front of the table. Newt in front of me. Of course, the eye contact was there. Then Newt came closer and I leaned my hands against the table.

"Stella, what are we?" Newt sighed.

"Tiny humans trapped in a Maze". I replied and a smile formed on my face. Soon it drifted away when Newt seemed taken aback. "Oh, you mean it that way".

He sighed. "Miss Stella, will you do me the honor of being my girlfriend?"

Oh my—from where do I start? First, he called me miss, second, he proposed so formally but sweetly at the same time. And lastly, he asked me to be his girlfriend.

I didn't hesitate to answer. "Yes". Then our lips collided. His hands moved on my waist while mine were still leaning against the table.

Again, someone had to walk in.

"I did not need to see that". Jeff said with wide eyes.

"What can't I kiss my woman whenever I want?" Newt snapped and I felt flattered by the name. His woman? I'm dying.

Then he kissed me again more passionately. Then Clint spoke up.

"Newt kiss her on your own sucking time. Here come people who want to get treated, not get a heart attack by seeing you two". Clint sighed rubbing his forehead.

"Guess that's my cue". He smiled at me. "I'll see you later love". With that, he walked off. For a moment I felt my legs weaken by the second but soon I recovered. I went back to my chair and let myself relax there.

"So... wanna tell us what happened?" Jeff asked pretending that he hadn't seen or heard anything.

"We both know you are aware". I replied with the biggest smile on my face never leaving.

"You guys are dating?" Clint, who usually wasn't in for the gossip I had with Jeff asked with raised eyebrows.

"Again, you heard the important information". I didn't want to reply. I was just happy. Newt liked me back.

He and I were a thing.

Soon it was dinner time and I decided I would eat dinner with the others.

All this time I've been eating in the Med-hut. I was confident enough to face them.
