"Just answer some questions and you'll be fine".

Janson said as he sat on a chair across from us.

"What do you want to know?—"

"Why should we answer your stupid questions?—you literally tied us here". Nolan spat.

"Nolan!" I hissed fixing my gaze on him.

"Listen to her Nolan. Your father wouldn't want to see you in such behavior I am right?"

Cold sweat was coming out from every inch of my body. I almost felt my clothes stick to my body.

"What—?" His breath was caught in his throat.

"So". Rat Man picked up a notebook and a pen. He clicked on the pen and glanced at us again. "What do you know about WICKED".

"Nothing." Nolan spat.

Rat Man raised his eyebrows. "Nothing?"

"Only that they trapped us in the Maze." I added quickly. Being honest would help our situation.

Because there was another controller on the table and it had blue wires.

And I didn't know what it was for.

He wrote something in the notebook but this time he didn't glance at us. "What do you remember from before the Maze?"

Something in me froze.

My facial expression was cold and unreadable. A thousand emotions could pass me but my face would stay the same.

But I could feel cold sweat all over my body again.

"Still nothing". Nolan replied casually as if nothing was there. He did have memories but he hid them.

I was speechless. My voice got stuck in my throat and my mouth was dry.

No words, no sound.

Because I had memories and not just memories but warnings.

Also, the voice in my head led me to do horrible things to people around me and myself. I manipulated people but I had also manipulated myself.

"You Stella?" Janson actually looked up at me.

"I remember nothing". I said in a breath. I tried to not look guilty but my body language could betray me.

Fortunately, I was tired and no one could notice my shaky hand.

"Okay". He exhaled. "If you are not planning on being honest I'll have to use a different method". He lowered his voice and leaned forward. "And it is not good". He sat up straight again. "So I will ask you one more time, do you remember anything from before the Maze?"

"As we told you before, nothing!" Nolan almost shouted the last word.

Janson let out a long sigh. "Alright. If you want to keep it up this way, being in denial, I should just show you why you should be forwardly honest".

He grabbed the controller from the table.

A faint blue light lit up in the device. A little lighter than the color of the wires.

The wires were attached to the ropes we were tied with.

Rat Man moved his hand over the device and stopped at the handle.
