CHAPTER 40

Yesterday, I didn't tell anyone about me arching.

I don't think Minho mentioned anything though. But I was planning on using it again this morning.

I tried to get up but as usual, a grip on my waist didn't let me move.

"Newt". I groaned.

"Hm?" He said not opening his eyes.

"I want to get up".

"Too bad I'm not letting you". He mumbled.

I elbowed him to his stomach, and he let out a groan.

"Did you have to do that?" He let go of me so he could hold his stomach.

"Well maybe". I said getting up. I walked over to his side and placed a kiss on his cheek.

"Hm, now you kiss me". He said in a sarcastic tone.

"Oh shut up". I kissed him again this time on the lips.

I walked out of the hut not waiting for him to come.

I walked towards the kitchen and took my breakfast.

After I finished breakfast I disappeared again.

I wanted to practice using the bow more.

Arching helped me feel relaxed. But also another feeling was hiding. Am instinct. That something might go wrong and I'll need defence.

I grabbed my supplies which were on the table of my room.

I took them and went straight to the Deadheads.

I walked further in and found the same spot I practiced yesterday.

Again, another perfect hit.

I've been throwing arrows for some time.

As I was placing another arrow ready to aim, I heard a noise from behind me.

I tried my best to ignore it but the sound was only getting louder. Footsteps. Intensive footsteps. Not a normal and peaceful walk.

When I was about to shoot, I felt a hand on my shoulder. I flinched and my eyes widened at the unknown touch.

I turned around tightening the grip on my bow, ready to shoot. But someone threw them on the ground.

I couldn't see who the person was. That someone held my hands together tight. They pushed me on a tree which caused my back to hurt from the hard wood.

Now my eyes could inspect that someone. It was—

"Gally?" I realised and my eyes widened.

He didn't respond. The only thing he did was look at me in the eyes. Not with a usual look. It was different.

Frustration, sadness, disgust. These three words described his look. But there was another thing. His eyes. They said something different. Not just say. They looked different.
