CHAPTER 73

We were in the car again.

Hopefully this time it wasn't more crowded than before, because we separated.

Some of us went with Harriet in Bertha-and the rest went with Sonya in their truck.

The drive was peaceful but the question is still there.

Is there any connection between Sonya and Lizzy?

She did look a lot like Newt and a little like the girl in the dream.

But her name wasn't Lizzy.

I need to figure this out before I tell Newt. I haven't told him so far and that's my mistake. He deserves to know that there is a girl in this world that it's his sister. Now there's hope that she's here.

But what if I tell him and we end up finding she was dead?

That's what I fear. The heartbreak in his eyes. The sadness and nostalgia.

Because he might had a sister that he would never meet.

The car came to a stop.

We finally arrived at the Right Arm.

"They've been planning this for over a year now". Harriet explained after we all got out of the car. "This is all for us".

With wide eyes, I took a look around.

This place looked like a camp.

Dozens of tents of all sizes stood on the ground. People were sitting around fires, making or eating food. Some of them gave us some glances.

"You guys are lucky you found us when you did.
We're moving out at first light". Harriet explained as we walked further into the camp. "Where's Vince?" Harriet asked someone.

"Somewhere over there, I think". They answered, motioning at a tent.

"Who's Vince?" Thomas questioned.

"He's the one who decides if you get to stay". Harriet turned around.

"I thought the Right Arm was supposed to be an army.' Thomas questioned again. Thomas always was the one who asked questions.

"Yeah, we were". An unrecognizable voice said. I turned my head and saw a middle-aged man with a goatee walking over to us. This maybe could be Vince.

"This is all that's left of us. Lots of good people died getting us this far". The man was Vince, I realized. "Who are they?" He glanced at us with uncertainty in his eyes.

"They're Immunes". Harriet replied. "Caught 'em coming up the mountain".

"Did you check 'em?" Vince raised his eyebrows, inspecting every single one of us more closely.

"I know this guy, Aris. I trust him". Harriet motioned at Aris, who stood behind Thomas.

"Well, I don't". Vince shook his head once. "Check 'em". He pressed.

"Hey, boss...". Another man looked at Brenda, who was gagging. I looked at her, frowning. She was fine an hour ago. What is happening to her now?

Brenda suddenly fell onto the ground.

"Brenda! Brenda!" Jorge caught her just in time before her head could meet the ground.

"What's going on?" I asked, looking at the two.
