(18+) Special Chapter: Sweater Weather

In the snowy fields where a duo mission was set to be carried out. The two of them were tasked with taking on an enemy force that had appeared within the area... And the two valkyries prepared themselves for the task at hand with their respective weapons at the ready.

"Ready, Mei?"

"I'm as ready as I can be, Captain." The young Mei replied with a confident mindset as she tightened her grip on her weapon.

This would be her first ever mission alongside Y/n herself, and she was very determined to get the job done successfully while also proving her worth in the process for this operation.

"Let's go."

They began to move forward in unison toward the enemy's position. The white snow around them was blanketed in an eirie silence, as the only sound they could hear was the wind whistling through the snowfields. Both Mei and the Captain would remain silent as they traveled through the snow silently toward the enemy's position.

Together, they strike down the enemy force and eliminate the remaining opponents with ease. Their synchronized attacks, combined with their combined speed and agility, were enough to overcome the enemy's defenses on quite a few occasions throughout the ambush.

This was a clear display of their teamwork and coordination, further showcasing the strength and trust that they have built between each other over time.

Once the job has been completed, the two of them made their way back to a small cabin in the snowfields... and it was here that Mei would finally be able to get a breather and catch her breath. Y/n would then approach her with a warm expression on her face as she spoke to Mei in a gentle tone.

"Well done, I'm impressed."

The Captain's words caused Mei to turn her head towards her lover. She had a slight blush on her face as she looked at her.

"Thank you..."

Y/n nodded.

"I'll go and prepare us some tea."

Mei would then wait for her to prepare the tea, as she took a seat beside the fireplace and began to think about the mission they've just completed. The mission itself may have been straightforward, but it showed the teamwork that they both possessed which made it a meaningful experience for her. She had also impressed Y/n with her skills and competence during that mission, which was something that made her quite happy.

Since her lover was still busy brewing tea, Mei decided to go outside to check the weather condition. She looked up at the sky and saw that the wintery atmosphere was still as frigid and snowy as ever.

The icy coldness seemed to have gotten even more colder than it did previously, as the air around her was filled with snow flurries. Mei could feel a slight chill in the air as if the temperature was slowly dropping, which was a sign that the wintery weather conditions were becoming harsher...

"It looks like the blizzards won't go any time soon..." Mei whispered to herself.

"And that means you also shouldn't be out here in the open." Y/n whispered back as she placed a sweater around her neck as if to serve it as a scarf.

"H-huh? Captain..?" Mei said in surprise.

This caught her completely off guard, as she wasn't expecting it at all. She would then take a closer inspection of the soft sweater before turning her head towards Y/n.

"Why so surprised..?" Y/n asked while tilting her head a little as she snaked her arms around the girl's waist and embraced her.

"I-I... Well..."
