The sun had just set as the sky turned into the gorgeous dark sky with the stars shining brightly and beautifully in the night with the moon also being in the midst of its phase of becoming full.

I sat near the rooftop where I used to have a conversation with Y/n before. She wasn't present next to me, which made me feel quite lonely as I sat there patiently waiting for her since I was confident that she would eventually show up.

I thought that perhaps to Y/n, it was one of those formal meetings we usually have when I was still at St. Freya, but to me, I consider this one as a date.

I was aware that I had been waiting for her for quite some time now, but I was still quite patient and didn't seem to mind waiting a little bit longer. I understood that her work and duties can often cause her to leave late sometimes, given that she was once a powerful Valkyrie and thus must be quite busy... again.

While waiting, I remained silent and began to recall the many fond memories I had with Y/n during our time together in St. Freya. I really looked forward to meeting her again, even though this meeting was quite similar to our typical conversations.

...
....
.....

Even as the hours passed, I was still quite optimistic that Y/n would eventually show up. I continued to wait, with all of the hopeful thoughts running in my mind.

However...

"...."

My thoughts gradually grew more and more concerned when she still haven't arrived yet even as the night became darker and darker with each passing hour.

"What's taking her so long... She usually arrives at a meeting before the given time. It's likely unusual for Y/n to also forget our plans for tonight."

As the night further progressed, I slowly felt a growing sense of anxiety begin to sprout. My thoughts slowly grew darker and more concerning as I began to think about why Y/n still hasn't shown up.

A part of me began to wonder whether or not something was wrong with her, or whether or not she simply forgot about this meet up completely. However, this was simply just a thought since I believed that this was definitely too unusual for her, given how responsible she is.

Moreover, she already reassured me earlier that she'll come.

She's never the one to back down from her words.

So why...

"...."

I tried to keep as calm as I could, but I could still feel my heart beating faster with each passing thought; the possibility that Y/n may have been in danger kept haunting my mind.

I quickly took out my phone and tried calling her and as expected, I received no response as the call was completely ignored.

Y/n's silence was rather unusual to me, as she would usually always pick up the call whenever I called her- regardless of the situation.

"Y/n... Why aren't you picking up..?"

I knew that something wasn't right for Y/n had never rejected my calls before. But the question was what. Could she have been abducted by somebody? Was she in some sort of danger or worse yet in a life-threatening situation?

I hoped that wasn't the case, but I continued calling her number again and again, only to receive the same result each time.

"...."

The night slowly grew into midnight, and Y/n have stayed away for so long, especially as she already knew that we had a meeting set for this evening.

Please, not again...
