THE peculiar thing is, even though I knew he was the cause of my recent sadness and the tears on my guitar, seeing him now somehow brought back my happiness, as if in the night sky, I was the brightest star.

Leo set down the storage box he was carrying and took Sirius from the top of it. He took a hesitant step towards me. His expression was so serious, just like Sirius's, as he returned him to me, as if his eyes were hiding the sorrow he felt inside.

I took Sirius from his hands, hugged him tightly, and kissed him on the nose, not paying attention to Leo after he gave me back my bunny.

"Can we talk?" he asked softly, trying to grab my attention.

My eyebrows nearly met after hearing his voice. "Is there a problem?" I almost choked up. I swallowed hard and cleared my throat to remove the lump in it, not sure why a single response almost made me cry.

"Liam..." he called out monotonously.

I heard it again, one of my weaknesses. That's when he calls me by my name as if... like Elio and Oliver call each other by name. It's melting, but...

I don't think I'm ready to face and talk to him yet, because the longer he stays, the deeper the dagger pierces my heart.

"I just wanted to apologize for what happened," he admitted, his voice tinged with regret.

I shook my head slightly. "Nothing happened," I assured him, pretending to be innocent and totally clueless, but I was not.

Leo persisted, his tone pleading. "Liam, I'm sorry. I hurt you. Please forgive me, talk to me," he implored pitifully.

"We're already talking," I pointed out gently.

He took a deep breath, steeling himself. "Listen," he began.

"I am," I affirmed, his gaze never leaving mine. I tried to be as responsive as I could.

"I broke up with Colleen," he confessed, his admission hanging heavy in the air that we both breathed.

"I know, I saw the news," I acknowledged quietly. I wasn't sure how long I could endure this conversation.

"Do you know why?" he asked, searching my eyes for understanding.

I returned the question. "You know why," I replied, my voice finally becoming steady as I emphasized the word 'you'.

Leo nodded, a flicker of uncertainty crossing his features as he bit his lip.

I broke the heavy silence in our discourse with the question, "Why did you break up with her?"

"Because I chose you," he declared unequivocally. His words were crystal clear, and I could feel the sincerity behind them.

I had no words to offer in return, my mouth dry and my heart pounding in my chest like it was in a race. Still, cat got my tongue, drowned by this overwhelming emotion.

"I chose you, Liam," he repeated, his gaze unwavering as he sought to reassure me that this was real.

Again, I remained silent, tears welling up in my eyes as I struggled to process the depth of Leo's confession.

"I love you," he continued, pouring out his heart. "I want you to be mine, I want your body, I wanna kiss you, I wanna fuck you—sorry. I want to be with you, I want all of you, everything about you! I need you, Liam. Please! Give me a second chance. Did you hear what I—?"

Before he could even finish his words, I closed the distance between us, capturing his lips in a tender, passionate kiss.

"Shut up, I love you too," I whispered after we finally parted, feeling the tears glistening in my eyes once more.

He gently wiped away those tears of mine. "Do I talk too much?" he asked, smiling like a kid.

"Always," I chuckled, feeling a weight lifted off my shoulders.

"Well, thanks for shutting me up," he said, laughing gratefully.

"I can always silence you," I replied, leaning in to give him a quick peck on the lips, interrupted by his laughter.

"I can do that too," he said seriously, returning the kiss to my lips but he pulled away with more intensity than I did.

This time, it was him who initiated and dominated the kiss. But that dominance didn't last long as he let me savor his wet mouth as well.

It was a hot, lingering kiss that quenched our thirst. He willingly accepted my kisses, even opening his mouth slightly to allow my tongue in, but it seemed like we were running out of breath if we didn't stop soon.

Our lips slowly parted, now tinged with red from the intensity of the kisses we shared.

"Hey, Sirius! Didn't realize you were there?" Leo chuckled, patting my pet on the head.

"Did he enjoy watching?" I asked, realizing that I had been holding Sirius while Leo and I kissed.

"Not sure, he looked so..."

"Serious?" I interjected.

"Yeah..." Leo snickered.

"That's where I got his name."

"Is it still long?" Leo whispered to me softly as soon as I felt him behind me.

"I told you to wait at the table," I said, trying to move my shoulder to remove his chin resting on it.

"I can't just sit there watching you when I can hold you like this," he said, his breath giving me a tingling sensation as he whispered in my ear. "Trust me, it pains me just staring at you there. It makes me miss you badly... and crave for you, and want you even more."

"When did you become so flirty, Leo? Did a witch cast a spell on you when you were on your way here to my place?" I teased, moving my shoulder again as he sniffed it.

"I know you like it, so why pretend?" He kissed my cheek. "We started this before, why don't we continue it?" He started sniffing my neck as if I was the most addictive perfume he had ever smelled in his entire life.

"Continue what?" I asked, pulling away my neck as I was tickled. "I said I'll make pancakes for you to eat, didn't I?"

He just gave me puppy eyes when I glared at him in annoyance, "Changed my mind."

"Huh?" my brows furrowed.

"I don't want pancakes anymore," he said, raising his hands from his stomach to my chest, "I want to eat you."

"No," I said, letting go of the bowl I was holding and the pancake mix still in the box when he started massaging my chest.

He whispered again, "Say 'yes', I know you want it."

"N-No... ahh, Leo, you're such a big flirt today..." I pushed him away when he tickled my ear with his tongue.

I turned to face him and we had a slight distance between us but in a few moments, he also broke the space that kept us apart.

"I've been waiting for so long, don't expect me to be so subtle," he said, his voice sending shivers down my spine.

I gulped, feeling so nervous. He's so wild today. I can't keep up with his allure. "You've been waiting for this?"

"Yeah, so don't resist," his words were like a spell stronger than even Harry Potter's, I had no way to escape but to obey.
