"Yo, I'm telling you, she's like a fucking snake. Biting into me and sucking the fucking life out of me," Ness complains to his small group of friends as they leave the school. Ness is a decently tall and active boy. Dark short hair with some tan skin and some amazing purple eyes. He's currently wearing his baseball uniform with his number 27 on the back of it.

One of his friends is Young Link, a shorter blonde-haired boy with bright blue eyes and elf-like ears. He always wears green clothes, making him look even more like an elf or leprechaun. Much to the comedy of Ness and the others. The other friend he's hanging out with right now is Popo. He's a bit of a chubby boy who's about the same height as Ness himself. He's got brown short hair but no one is able to really notice due to the fact he's always wearing a parka, no matter how hot or cold it is outside.

"Why not, you know, break up with her?" Young Link suggests. Popo just nods in agreement as he bites into an apple.

"It's not that easy. It's like...arranged."

"Didn't know people still did that," Popo says in confusion as he swallows his bite.

"Rich people do."

"Why not talk to your parents and well, tell them this stuff? They're your parents first and foremost, right?" Young Link suggests. Ness just shakes his head.

"They don't care. They've never cared." Pop and young Link look at each other. Some awkwardness between them. They knew Ness has been having relationship issues for a while. But this is the first time the two of them have the chance to know exactly what those issues are. It's a little overwhelming for them. But they're his friends so they'll be there even if they have no clue how to help.

"Well, uhm, it'll get better hopefully," Popo says as he pats Ness's back. Ness just glares at him for a moment.

"Thanks. But I've gotta get to the mall. If I get there too late she'll yell at me and I would love to keep my hearing."

"Well, good luck man," Young Link says as he slaps Ness on the back. Ness can only respond with a nod as he begins his way toward the Ultimall. He enjoys this time alone. Away from everyone, especially away from his girlfriend. Listening to music. Allowing his mind to escape. It's heaven.

Although, heaven doesn't last for long as he crashes into someone. Or rather, someone crashes into him, causing him to drop his phone. "Ack, dammit!" A soft voice calls out in pain. Ness looks down to see a boy, clearly around his age, on the ground. Right next to the boy was his phone.

"My phone," Ness says softly before grabbing it and looking at the screen. There he sees a pretty large crack. "It's cracked."

"Wh-what?" The boy stumbles back up. "I-I'm so sorry, I-I wasn't paying attention to where I was going," he pleads for forgiveness as he bows his head. Ness looks at him and notices a few things about him. He's got pretty poofy blond hair, very pale skin, and his clothes are very ruffled and dirty. He also emits this strange smell.

"It's fine..."

"No it's not!" The boy yells before looking into Ness's eyes. This is where Ness is able to see those very beautiful blue eyes. They seem to sparkle in the sunlight. "I-I broke your phone."

"I-I'm telling you, it's ok. I can just buy a new one."

"Right..." The boy looks down and sighs. He reaches into his pocket before bringing out a five dollar bill. "Here."

"Uhm, I don't need that, it's ok." Ness puts his broken phone into his pocket as the new boy just eagerly shakes his head.

"I won't accept this! Even if it's not enough for a new phone...it's something. So just take it already," he says before forcibly putting the bill into Ness's pocket. "I won't take no as an answer!" Ness smiles as he crosses his arms.
