Lucas slowly walks through a flower field. The cold night air hitting his skin. It feels nice. It also feels nice to feel that moonlight smashing into him. He doesn't care about most of these flowers. The Tulips, the roses, they're all nice. He likes them. But they're not why he's here. He's here for a very specific reason.
He's somber. But he's not fully sad. Even as he gets closer and closer to his destination. The Sunflower section of the large garden. He stops once there. A small smile grows on Lucas's face. He then slowly goes down to his knees and bows his head. "Hello guys." He calls out to his family. They're not here. As he's in a completely different city to where they're buried. But their burial ground is full of Sunflowers that Lucas planted for them. And he looks at Sunflowers as if they are his familys' burial ground.
"It's that time of year again." He slowly looks up at the main attraction of the sunflower. The bright petals around that dark center. "It's my birthday." He chuckles a little and lowers his head once more. "I wish you were here." He stays silent for a while. Allowing his happy memories to rush into him. Memories of his Mom, Dad, and even Brother. His lovely family.
He sits there for a while it seems. Going through nearly his entire childhood with his family. However, he begins hearing some footsteps from behind him. He doesn't quite look back, not wanting to interrupt his thought process. The footsteps end as a hand lands on his shoulder.
"Lucas, it's time to go." The voice belongs to someone very special to him. But he doesn't quite leave yet. He knows he has to. But he just wants some more time. Only a few minutes later, Lucas stands up.
"Love you guys," he says before turning around to see Ness. His lovely boyfriend. Ness has a very supportive smile on his face. Lucas feels lucky. Being able to have someone like him always on his side. Always able and more than willing to pick up the slack where Lucas lacks. Especially when he was truly affected by his familys' deaths.

Lucas is new to this big city. It's kind of scary. To go from a small village on a small island. To a big city. The city itself is seemingly bigger than the island as a whole. And his new home has that same theme of pure size. It's so big and it's big because it has to fit so many kids inside of it. Despite this reality, he keeps up an illusion.
Only a few days after Lucas comes to the orphanage a few new kids come over. These kids aren't orphans, but volunteers. Volunteers to help the new orphans get used to the city since most are from outside Ultimatum. Ness is one of these volunteers. He meets with someone named Dark Samus, although she goes by Sam. "Thanks for volunteering again, Ness. Means a lot," Sam says as she sits down in a pretty comfy chair. Ness is a pretty active teenager. He's a baseball player in school and he's been a constant volunteer for this for a long time. At first, he only really did it as it would look great on any resume or application. But now he does it because he finds it nice. And he can make new friends, which he especially likes.
"Of course, Sam," Ness happily says before sitting opposite of her. Sam nods before tapping away at her laptop. It's very hard to tell what she thinks due to her not having visible eyes or mouth. She looks like just a straight up living set of armor. But the tapping on the laptop ends before she turns the laptop to face Ness.
"Here we have Lucas." Ness looks at Lucas's picture to see a bright smile. Two cute dimples and nicely styled blond hair.
"He looks happy." Ness notifies. This earns a small hum from Sam as she turns it back to herself.
"Yeah, but he'd just lost his family. I'm not sure what he's possibly going through in his mind."
"Oh, poor guy." Sam nods her head and taps away a little more before turning it. Now, Ness sees some pretty basic information about Lucas. His full name, which just seems to be Lucas, age, and some of the stuff he's done in the past. Namely, the fact he lived on an island. He's also told how his family died.
