Heya! Sorry this one is a tad later than usual. Needed that little more time for this one. But hope you enjoy!

"Lucas, wake up," a very familiar voice echoes around Lucas's mind. He just groans as he twists onto his side. "Come on, Lucas."

"I don't wanna..." Lucas complains in his all too evident tired voice. The person trying to wake him is his own father, Flint. Flint just sighs before putting a hand on Lucas's shoulder. He then begins to shake softly.

"Wake up, the sunflower is ready to be planted." Lucas shoots his eyes open at the sound of that. He then twists back onto his back to look at his dad eye to eye.

"It is?"

"Yup." Lucas's eyes fall to look down for only a moment before yawning and sitting up.

"Ok, fine." Flint pats Lucas on the back and stands up.

"You get that thing planted while I make breakfast, ok?" Lucas nods and jumps out of bed. He makes it over to a small wardrobe as he hears his Dad walk toward the staircase down due to the creaky wooden plank floors.

"Dad..." Flint stops before starting down the stairs. Lucas looks over to see his Dad looking right at him. "You're doing a great job." With that simple compliment, Flint begins to tear up. He doesn't say anything, simply nodding and walking down the stairs. This gives Lucas the time he needs to change into his normal clothes. Striped shirt with shorts.

But it also gives Lucas time to think about his dad more. Sure, he's doing a great job. He's not lying about that. But there's that slight bit of desire in him. A desire for more. More than his Dad doesn't seem capable of giving. Even after all these years later.

He makes it downstairs to see his dad wearing an apron and cracking a few eggs. This earns a smile from Lucas. "Don't forget pepper this time, ok?"

"I promise." Lucas laughs softly as he walks over to the front door and puts on his shoes. Once ready, he leaves the house.

Instantly after leaving, he's hit with the strong and natural smell of nature. Such a rural place to live has those lovely plus sides to it. Even if the main part of town had modernized, the part where he lives still holds those classic rural aspects. He turns to the left to see a doghouse with a potted sunflower right next to it. After making it over to the doghouse he looks in. "Boney, you had a good sleep?" Inside the doghouse is a sleeping brown dog. All he does is give a small dog-like whimper before it just peters off as Boney goes right back to sleep.

To an outsider, this feels like the life. But there's a part of Lucas that feels empty. Useless. So even though he smiles at the cute reaction from Boney, it feels insincere. A front. Either way, he picks up the potted sunflower and walks off. His home is atop a bit of a cliff a little away from the main square of Tazmily Village.

Before he even makes it into said square, however, a shadow is cast onto the sunflower. Lucas doesn't pay it any mind, assuming it to be clouds as one normally would. But the shadow gets smaller and smaller as whatever is casting it gets closer and closer. Lucas still pays it no mind. However, he's forced to once the thing casting the shadow touches the sunflower and stumbles onto the ground.

Lucas looks down to see what it is only to see what seems to be an envelope. "What the?" He puts the potted sunflower down and lifts the envelope. The part he's looking at is the boring back side where it's nothing but white. But as he turns it over he sees the seal that is keeping the envelope shut. It's a simple ball with a cross in the bottom left section. Creating four different segments of this ball that if put together wouldn't make a circle.
