Since I'm a fan of Michigan Wolverines, I should do something that's sort of about it. Here are two things about Michigan and Michigan State (I don't like Michigan State. Michigan is the truth behind their name. State is the truth behind the name).
Michigan State Spartans Name MEANING
You've all heard of the city-state in Ancient Greece called Sparta, right? Well, I need to make this clear for you and tell you the truth. The Spartans were the meanest, toughest, evil people to be around. They were only known for their strength. Nobody wanted to be around the toughest people. And have you ever heard the saying, 'Brain over brawn'? Well, that came from the fact that Athens, another Greek city-state, was stronger than Sparta. Mentally. And to be awesome and smart, you pick brain over brawn. And even though people say that it's named after the city Sparta in Michigan, why, though? Why do they name it the Spartans if Sparta has nothing to do with their name except for it has Sparta in it? Why would they put a dress on Sparty if they're not any part Scottish and don't wear kilts that look like skirts? Don't say that they wear kilts. Because-THEY'RE NOT SCOTTISH THEY'RE BRUTAL!!!!!!! Why would they even BEGIN to want to wear a green and white dress?!?
*P.S., this isn't meant to insult anyone, but I just want to point these things out. Go blue*
Truth behind Michigan Wolverines
Michigan Wolverines were named after the fact that Michigan is known as the wolverine state. No other state is declared as the wolverine state. If you ever say, 'I've seen a bear maul a human', I'll just say, 'Wolverines aren't bears, you know.' And if you think that Michigan "sucks", just know that we will beat whoever comes our way with Harbaugh. Know this, too:
