Hope, 19 POV:

Malivore has been a total pain in the ass. Landon is honestly a disappointment. He gets in the way more than he's helpful. I'm always going to be the savior type, just not his. I heard screaming from outside; as I rushed to see what the others were upset about everyone pointed upward.

I looked up to see a large asteroid burning through our atmosphere. I thought I was going to die in Malivore, this is much more depressing. I didn't even transition yet, Freya was on her way. Freya...knowing everyone I know and love is about to die weighs extraordinarily heavy on my heart.

I closed my eyes feeling the heat growing stronger, tears rolled down my cheeks as I thought of seeing my parents again. All of a sudden the heat was gone, I opened my eyes seeing bright white. I wiped my eyes and face, letting my eyes adjust to the new surroundings.

"Welcome, Hope. Sorry for the brightness, it's always jarring on those I select." The strange woman in front of me said. "Hello, where am I?" I responded, sitting up. "I am Death. Despair and Lucifer had a bet going on the timeline you resided in. You are in my waiting room, I was working with my brother Dream to give you a new option." She told me.

"I mean absolutely no disrespect, Death. But I have many questions, may I ask them?" I asked trying to be as respectful as possible. "Please, nobody ever questions us." A deep voice spoke from behind me, I whipped around to find a tall, skinny man. "Dream, you know better than to startle my selected few. Sorry about him, this is my annoying little brother Dream." Death said, punching Dream in the arm.

"Well if it's allowed, I'm guessing you are gods, or something more than that. You said that Despair and Lucifer placed a bet on my universe, who won and what was the bet about?" I asked some of my questions. "Do you want to take the lead or shall I?" Death asked her brother.

"I'll do it. The bet was to see whether you would crack from despair and give up your life or abandon your friends and family and be ruthless with the world. In the end, nobody won. You were willing to save everyone, but you gave up on Landon which Despair thought was key. We are what's called the Endless. We live at the center of your lives and you live in the center of ours, essentially we exist for each other." Dream explained.

I took a moment to absorb the info, "Thank you for explaining that. It hurts knowing that my life was just a silly game but I'm not surprised. Death said that you had been working together on a new option?" I asked Dream.

"Yes, when we heard that your life, such a powerful woman being reduced to such torment we decided to interfere. We made a new timeline, it's Malivore free, meaning Landon free. You will be given free rein to change what you will, you'll be more than capable to deal with backlash. I spoke with Death about your long lost Uncle Henrik, he's been apprised of the situation. We will be sending you back together." He answered, suddenly a scream rang through the room and a chair appeared next to me with a boy falling into it.

"Couldn't have been any gentler?" Henrik asked heatedly, I smacked him on the chest lightly, "Shut the fuck up, we could just continue being dead

"Couldn't have been any gentler?" Henrik asked heatedly, I smacked him on the chest lightly, "Shut the fuck up, we could just continue being dead." I told him trying to be sly around the Endless. "It's alright we quite like his attitude.  Each of you will get a bag, anything you need or want is in them, you will both wake up as vampire hybrids in your world. Hope as a tribrid, as meant to be. Henrik will be an Original Heretic, it wasn't originally intended for the Mikaelson line to have Siphoner magic but he never got to experience his magic before he died." Death explained.

"I would be very grateful to get a chance to see my family again, do things right. But if I'm an adult in the past, will I not exist if I'm not born in that universe?" I said feeling rather confused. "No, this isn't the Flash, this is a world where you weren't conceived. It could have happened but didn't. You will just exist and explain things. Here are two magical backpacks, anything you could imagine will appear for you inside." Death answered. Dream seemed confused by the reference but said nothing.

"Well if that's all the questions, let's get on with it." Dream said. The room glowed a deep blue, Death's wings sprouted and Dream blew sand in our direction. Next thing I knew I was unconscious on the ground in a familiar forest, with Henrik right beside me. "At least this was gentle." He commented.

"I feel like we forgot to ask at least one key question." I respond sitting up, grabbing the backpacks that were between us. "Yeah like "What time we will be arriving?" or "Where will we arrive?"." Snarked Henrik. "Listen I'm not know for the best temper control, so cut the shit and let's figure things out." I told him throwing the bag at him.

I apparently threw it a little too hard, knocking him back to the ground. I didn't say anything and just kept walking. He eventually caught up to me, "Sorry. I should be the mature one but is anyone besides Elijah and Finn really mature in this family?" He said bumping my shoulder. We laughed a little, sharing memories with each other.

We found a newspaper rack, we looked for the date. "February 26, 2007. Looks like we have some time to kill, definitely some people. We are going to have to build up our reputation; good with the humans, formidable among the supernatural. What do you want to do first?" Henrik asked.

I pulled out a bloody blade, Esther's blood. "We head for New Orleans. I'm glad that you are a heretic, shit is going to get crazy. Are you prepared for that?" I asked. "Yeah, what's with the bloody blade?" He replied. "It's to kill Dahlia, we are going to collect your oldest sibling." I put the dagger back in the bag, knowing that it worked as Death said.

"Fuck this whitewashed city, let's steal a car and get going." He said hurriedly. "Wouldn't it be faster to run? We are originals, faster than normal vampires, I say we skip Grand Theft Auto and run to New Orleans." I told him as he was about to smash a window.

3 hours later

We were on the outskirts of the city, "Did you keep up with your siblings on the other side?" I asked. "No, I spent much of it avoiding Esther and others ancestors." He answered. "Well Marcel Gerard runs the Quarter. He is a real prick for a long time. If I can try for an audience maybe I can win him over."  I told him.

"Well it'll have to wait, we need a place to stay, figure out if you know anyone in the city currently." Henrik stopped me before I went forward with my idea for Marcel. "You're right. Let's find a place to stay, hotel or mansion?" I asked. "Mansion, we need to have a human sign for it and invite us in. We don't need pesky vampires entering our estate." Henrik replied.
