Hope POV:
Lizzie and I had just returned to the Compound, Lizzie spotted Caroline sitting with her legs over my Dad's lap. "Well that's something I never needed to see." She whispered. I could see that Caroline was a little offended. "You are going to have to get used to it. When we aren't killing people or Dad is daggering his siblings, we are surprisingly a pretty affectionate family." I whispered back.
"Don't give all the family secrets away, Hope." Dad joked loudly. Lizzie blushed a bright pink, knowing he had heard her comment. "Yeah if you are looking for private conversations, each of the bedrooms are safe, that way we don't have to hear each other with our partners." I told her, she smirked but there was a certain uneasiness in her eyes. "Thanks for taking me out tonight. I am going to go to bed. I will see you tomorrow." She said, giving me a quick hug and dashing off. That was rather odd I'll check on her in a little bit.
"Hey Caroline, remember when I was telling you about the supernatural, and telling you about your life in my timeline?" I asked quietly, knowing Lizzie couldn't hear me from her room. "Yes, what about it?" She asked, curiosity written all over her face. "In the past Alaric had gotten Josette Laughlin pregnant. At their wedding Kai stabbed her but the Gemini Coven that were present transferred her pregnancy to you, despite the fact that you were already a vampire. But it's why Lizzie looks and acts like you." I told her.
Caroline's jaw dropped at the information. "Wait you are telling me that Josie and Lizzie are technically my daughters show me, please." Caroline said, holding out her hand. I took her hand, sending her into memories that had been shared with me. She saw herself being pregnant and how complicated it was. Then how Arcadius tried to take them away.
When the memories were over, she sat up straight. Looking off in shock at all the memories. "It has been really hard for them to not rush to their mom for comfort." I told her, bringing her out of her shock, she shot off the couch knocking on both of their doors. Dad looked at me smiling, "Isn't it nice, reuniting a family?" He asked. I nodded, pouring each of us a drink.
1 day later
The girls were happy that their mom finally knew who she was to them. Rebekah had been on my case about talking to Lizzie. I had been pretty good about keeping her from doing anything drastic, knowing she likes to meddle. I found Josie looking at my Dad's artwork, "Beautiful, work right? My dad is quite talented." I said standing next to her.
"He certainly is." She said, hovering her hand over the painting. "Listen Josie, you need to become a Heretic now. This city is not safe for... anyone really. Especially not a siphoner witch who can only sometimes do magic. I personally recommend that you have Lizzie give you her blood in case you get sired to me or anyone in my family." I told her.
She nodded her head, "I've been thinking the same thing. Especially after getting attacked by the night walker." She replied. "Come on, might as well get it over with now." I said, leading her to Lizzie's room. We walk in finding Lizzie talking with Rebekah and laughing. My heart rate rises a little worried about what was said. "Hey Lizzie, I need you to make me a Heretic." Josie told her sister bluntly.
The laughter stopped, Lizzie turned to her sister. "Are you sure?" She asked, looking between me and her sister. "Yes, I need to be a Heretic. It will make so many things easier. I'm tired of worrying about the merge." Josie informed her. I pulled out a cup handing it to Lizzie. She bit her wrist, bleeding into it, then passing it to Josie.
"I can't kill you. Even if I know you'll come back." Lizzie told her. Freya came in the room, "I can do it without the pain and trauma of it." She told us. Lizzie and Josie nodded, Freya came and sat by Josie. "Drink up." She told her, once Josie drank the blood, Freya gave her a hug. Josie looked a little surprised by the method but leaned into it, not minding the hug. The vampires in the room could hear Josie's heartbeat slowing to a stop.
Her arms fell from their grasp around Freya, going completely limp. "Thank you, Aunt Freya. We got it from here." I said, before pulling out a flask and necklace for Josie and Lizzie. Rebekah and Freya left, leaving Lizzie and me to take care of Josie. While we waited two hours I gave Lizzie her necklace and made her a flask. Josie gasped awake, sitting up, scratching at her throat. Lizzie waved her hand and the drapes quickly shut.
I handed her the flask, telling her to drink through the pain in her mouth. I knew I wouldn't have to compel either of them, they would always be on our side. They both decided to join Henrik's Coven but they were welcome to help mine. The twins loved young Davina, almost as much as I do.
Finn POV:
I had been sitting with Sage, Freya and Keelin, enjoying getting to know each. Lizzie came down looking a little frazzled, she spotted Kol talking with Kai. I tuned out of my conversation honing in on Lizzie. "Hey Uncle Kai, can I borrow Kol for just a minute?" She asked. Kai looked to Kol who just shrugged, "Don't do anything I wouldn't do." He said walking to the bar. What does that even mean?
Apparently Kol and Lizzie shared my confusion, sharing a look with each other and laughing. "So I just wanted to ask if you know if Hope is seeing anyone?" She asked quietly looking around. Kol put his hand over his mouth, muffling his laughter. He leaned forward, "I don't believe my niece is dating anyone if that is what you are asking." He responded. She nodded, "Thank you. I'll leave you to your previous conversation." She told him, motioning for Kai to come back over.
I came back to my conversation, "Excuse me ladies, I have to see to something." I said to my company. I got up looking for Rebekah, I found her on the outer balcony. "Did you hear Kol's discussion with Lizzie? I believe she wishes to court our niece." I told her. "Did you just figure that out?" She asked in return. I looked at her, stumped by her question. "Have I been missing something?" I asked confused.
"Oh brother, Lizzie and Hope have feelings for each other. Both of them are being rather slow with the admitting process but love takes time." She responded patting me on the shoulders. At that point Hope appeared at our side. "Do you guys not understand the meaning of speaking in private places? You two are just out here, airing things that were said in confidence. This family is terrible at keeping secrets." She said, scolding the both of us before rushing off again.
Hope POV:
I went out to the Bayou, needing to blow off steam. I came across Jackson and Oliver arguing. "What's the problem here?" I asked the pair. "Oh great it's the mutt." Oliver said, spitting at the ground. Jackson punched him in the face, knocking him down, "We've talked about this." was all he said to him. "Oliver has been trying to incite riots, wanting to kill vampires in the Quarter for what they've done. None have joined his cause so far. I don't know what to do with him anymore." Jackson told me.
I kicked Oliver in the head, knocking him unconscious. "Sometimes you have to put a rabid dog down." I responded. "That's bleak. True but bleak as hell." He responded, running a hand through his hair. I tied Oliver up in metal chains sitting in a chair. "Call a meeting with your pack, see what they think should happen. I'm going for a run." I told him.
I left my bag in a high tree, folding my clothes nearby. I shifted quickly, needing the release running as a wolf offered. I ran so long that the sun had gone down and the locusts were chirping loudly. I went back to my clothes and backpack. Shifting back is a bit more unpleasant than becoming a wolf. I arrived back at the Compound finding the place in party mode. Not feeling the same energy as the rest of the party goers, I went to my room and showered, planning on sleeping the night away.
