Hope POV:
I had stayed in the hospital, wearing nurses scrubs to blend in. I could hear Katherine coming down the hall. Does this bitch always wear heals? I watched her walk into Caroline's room, I could hear them talking. The last thing I could hear was Caroline struggling to breathe. I wish she would have just snapped her neck.
I went in and sat with Caroline after Katherine had left. I pulled out a daylight ring with a few tweaks to it. Once she puts it on only she can take it off, it'll also provide her with more control. It'll also shape itself however she imagines it. It was about three hours later when she shot up, gasping for air, groaning at the head pain. I whispered as to not make the headache worse.
"I'm right here Caroline. I've got you, the next few minutes are going to be a bit painful." I told her handing her the ring, necklace and a blood bag. She quickly snatched the items, biting into the blood bag savagely. Once she put her jewelry back on she calmed immediately. "That was brutal. Thanks for not telling me how I was going to die. Can't believe that bitch killed me." She told me getting huffy.
I called Liz, letting her know about what happened. She came to sign her out of the hospital, the doctor on call checked her out one final time before releasing her. I had made her a flask that would self replenish with blood, that way she would never have to be hungry enough to attack someone.
Stefan and Damon asked me to make one as well, the cold blood just didn't taste as nice. I told them that Katherine was in town, we had some time to kill. The Masquerade is when shit will go down. Katherine knows how to keep things interesting. How will she react when she finds out Stefan isn't dating Elena.
Stefan spent more and more of his time bouncing from Caroline to Jeremy and Tyler. It took many days to help console Tyler over the accident. Despite knowing that he couldn't do anything to change it he wanted to make amends. He wanted to send money to the family of the deceased but found that he wasn't old enough to make large transactions like that.
I had written his family a check for fifteen million, allowing them to keep five and send ten to the family. He was grateful that I was willing to help him through his dark time. Thankfully we had about 29 days until the full moon. His father's wake will be tomorrow.
Jeremy and I spent the night, knowing how hard the loss was hitting him. Despite being a colossal prick and a total disappointment as a man and father, Tyler missed him. Mason Lockwood had written that he would be arriving the morning of. I won't be taking Mason from Tyler, I won't let Damon kill Mason.
After waking up, I had texted Damon that both Tyler and Mason are werewolves and that they are not to be harmed. He joked of messing with them, and I assured him that he would have to grow his hair back very, very slowly if he touched them. He quickly agreed to be friendly and polite. I also alerted him that a werewolf bite is lethal to vampires and to stay inside on full moons.
I helped Carol set up the house for the wake. She really didn't want to have to do this because she hated the man in all honesty. Mason had arrived and immediately took off with Tyler. The caterers had arrived, setting up food in the kitchen, servers and kitchen staff arrived just before the people started arriving.
Tyler and Mason had arrived in time to change and greet guests. Bonnie and Caroline came together, sticking by each other's sides. While Mason and Carol welcomed people I stayed by Tyler. "I feel like my skin is on fire." He said pulling at the collar of his shirt. I took his hand, he tried to yank it away. "Hold on, I'm going to try to help." I told him, he stopped squirming.
I focused my magic on cooling his body temp, keeping it at a human temperature. "This will last for the night. I'll make something more permanent." I told him letting go. "Thank you." He said, calming down.
I had warned everyone to remember what Elena had worn, if she changed up her hair and style we had to remember what Elena was wearing originally. Jewelry would also be a signifier of who was who. Katherine wore a necklace as a daylight ring. Elena didn't have necklaces besides the one I gave her.
Katherine came in, rocking her curls. She was about to approach Matt and Sarah when I grab her arm. "Elena come with me, Bonnie needs help." I told her. Gritting her teeth, "Is she okay? Lead the way." Katherine said, impersonating Elena. Once I got her into a room alone I put a spell up to keep her in.
"Time to cut the shit Katherine." I told her. She looked at me, raising her eyebrows. She then leaned in like she was setting up to strike. As she rushed forward, I twisted and grabbed her putting her in a standing arm lock. "I will rip it off if you try anything. I am stronger than you, I will kill you if you try something." I told her as I started to pull her arm from her body.
"OKAY! I GIVE UP!" She yelled. I let her go. "Sit down." I said, pouring each of us a glass of whiskey. I gave her the glass, "I know why you are here. Couple different reasons right? One is a ploy to get Stefan to love you again. The other is to free yourself from Klaus Mikaelson. Am I correct?" I ask, taking a sip.
"Yes, I still love Stefan and I want my freedom. I've earned it." She said boredom evident in her voice. "You see, I am a fan of the Mikaelson's you could say. While yes it was wrong for him to kill your whole family, if you had stayed you would have learned much more information. Such as Elijah had a potion to bring you back, Klaus needed you alive in the end. There is also a spell on you. It's in your blood, always has been." I info dumped on her.
"What spell? What are you talking about?" She asked leaning forward in her seat. I got up grabbing the bottle and bringing it back to the table. "I don't know if you've heard of the Traveler's but they are a vicious bunch of witches. The spell draws the Doppelgängers together, you loving Stefan is just magic. Your daughter, Nadia is with them. Yes she's alive, she's a vampire. She's been looking for you for five hundred years. I can fix the spell. I actually have someone I want you to meet in a few years, I'm just not prepared to collect him yet." I told her.
"I know I don't owe you anything but can you take the spell off?" She asked. "I can't, but I know someone who can. You will have to leave, come back after and let me know how you feel. I know where Isobel is staying. Don't bother finding somewhere else to stay, it won't do you any good. I'll work on your other problem, but I can't promise that Rebekah will be very forgiving. You may have to face her wrath, she won't kill you but it'll be so so bad for you." I warned her, I gave her Henrik's address, letting him know to expect her.
She took the note, nodding and tried to leave. She turned to look back at me. "Oh sorry, hold on." I wave my hand and the barrier drops. "You're good to go." I told her, she left immediately. I now have time to have Tyler help me get the moonstone from Mason.
