Marcel POV:

I hadn't heard any news of activity with the Witches, not after there was a fire bombing in the graveyard. Most of the night walkers the invading witches had taken were returned, left protected from the sun in buildings we own. They had no memory of who had taken them, or who had returned them. All they knew is that while they were held hostage they suffered great pain.

After a long night of celebrating their return, I went home to feast with my day walkers. My Music Man had finally returned to his party loving self, Diego and I couldn't be happier. The music was loud, the people looked tasty.I had been waiting on news of any sightings of the vampire who threw me on my neck. Something is coming, I can feel it in my blood.

These Marshall's will be taught a lesson if they keep messing with me. I don't know what their problem is, even Henry Marshall has been a problem lately. My vampires get restless, rousting the witches was equivalent to a boys night out. I haven't given the okay, but I know they've been causing problems in the shops. I don't know why but it puts me on edge knowing they are doing this.

I arrive home, tipsy and a little blood drunk from earlier. I find my boys pregaming for tonight, they've been stamping tourists hands, welcoming them to our parties. "Marcel, I found these lovely ladies for you." Diego said, and two compelled women stand and walk my way. "Oh Diego you shouldn't have." I laughed patting him on the shoulder.

Niklaus POV:

Seeing him acting like he's the scariest person in the room, it sickens me to my core. Perhaps had I experienced a better fatherly connection with Mikael, I would have been a better father to Marcel. But seeing him defend his right to claim the home my family built enrages me deeply. It's hard to control my emotions in this moment.

"You know I think we are long overdue a chat, Klaus. You come in here with your family, admittedly you are all big and bad. You may have built this City, but you ran. I'm the one who stayed and picked up the pieces! I'm the one who made this city what it is today!" Marcel shouted, oh so disrespectfully.

"I would think after seeing the treatment of my enemies and my siblings, you would know better than to shout at me. I am your sire, and if any of you are sired from Marcel you come from my bloodline. Not that it's possible, but if you killed me you would be killing yourselves. All of you would drop dead in minutes to hours, like flies falling from the sky." I said calmly, waving my fingers gesturing to their deaths.

Hope POV:

God, I wish I was as good as making threats as my Dad. I watched many of Marcel's vampires relax their fighting stance hearing that fighting was futile. Marcel saw it as well, knowing his people were giving up on the fight. "We didn't come here to slaughter you. We can if it's necessary." Elijah said. I decided to intervene before things get out of hand.

"Let's all take a deep breath. My family and I are here to reclaim our home, that means the Compound and the Quarter. You all are welcome to continue the nightly feeding parties here, there will be new rules in place. Firstly, Marcel will be our Adviser and you will go to him first with any issues as usual." I said, starting to go off my list.

"Who the fuck do you think you are coming in here making demands of" Diego couldn't complete his question, suddenly lifted into the air. The only thing louder than his bones breaking and restructuring were his screams. I dropped him once he was temporarily dead. "Now that you really know what I can do, all of you sit down, or experience a similar fate." I said to everyone.

"If they attack, no permanent deaths. These are Marcel's people." I told my family without looking at them. Some of the vampires let out battle cries before speeding at us, Mikael and his children stood in front of me ready for the attack. Rebekah was the first to make contact, fighting a man twice her size with ease and grace. None of the vampires felt very graced when they were being violently battered and beaten to death.

"ENOUGH!" Marcel shouted, I rolled my eyes at the dramatics. "What's the point of the shouting? We get it you're angry, so are we and we manage to be quiet for once." I said, grabbing him, Dad and myself a drink. "Let's sit and discuss things like adults, yes?" I asked, passing the drinks to each of them. Dad moved the 'sleeping' vampires off the couches so we would have space to sit.

"As I said, you will manage them, but our family is taking over the city once more. The werewolves will be welcomed back into the city, if I find that any of your vampires tried to harm them they will suffer the fate of a werewolf bite. Our family has two witch covens currently, we work to protect the Quarter and its inhabitants. We don't tolerate fuckery among our witches, but we don't attack unprovoked." I told Marcel.

"You think that my people will just accept you all to rule the city, taking my place?" He asked downing his drink. "What I think is that if you want to keep them alive you'll convince them to listen to the new leadership." Rebekah said pouring herself a drink. At that moment Enzo walked in, "What's with all the tension and unconscious vampires?" He asked.

"Oh you know, just a hostile takeover of our old home." Rebekah told him. "You miss Mikaelson, are as beautiful as you are delightfully vicious." He responded kissing her knuckles. He grabbed the bottle pouring her a drink and setting it down as far from Marcel as he could, giving Rebekah her glass. "Why thank you, Enzo." She said gently, running her fingers over his taking the glass from him.

The jealousy was radiating off Marcel. He stood up, dragging the bottle along the table. "This is my home, you can't just take it back and expect us to be cool with it." He said looking at each of us. "We expect more than that bare minimum." Kol said snarkily. Marcel threw his glass in Kol's direction. I stopped it mid air and sent it back to the table.

"My father and his siblings had been here for over ninety years before you were born. He raised you as his son, you were so loved by Elijah." I tried to continue but Marcel cut me off. "Elijah loved me, what a joke. Once I wasn't entertaining enough for him he pushed me away. Treated me like I was something to be endured." He said angrily.

"Elijah, Kol forgive me for what I'm about to say. Marcel, Elijah only pushed you away because he knew how jealous I was of the bond the two of you shared. I woke Kol for a couple reasons, one I needed someone to spend time with and have fun; but it was also to occupy Elijah with Kol's bloodthirsty ways. Then Kol was too much of a risk and almost turned you as a child." Dad told Marcel, Kol looked down ashamed of his past actions.

I put my hand on his shoulder trying to bring him some comfort. "The point is that you were loved...you are loved." I said to Marcel. Some of the vampires started waking up, Mikael sped around breaking their necks keeping it a private affair. " You are welcome to stay in the Compound, obviously not in our rooms seeing as it is our house." Dad told him.

"This is such bullshit. Me and my people have to follow the ones who fled from the city one hundred years ago. This is ridiculous." Marcel  said getting belligerent. "No what's ridiculous is that in your delusional ideas; you thought that Papa Tunde would be the one to free you from Dad. We know that you and Rebekah conspired to call Mikael in hope's he would leave the two of you alone. All these transgressions have ben forgiven, act like an adult and get with the program. I have proof to show you that things won't go your way." I said to him.

"Oh you have proof. Let's see it then." Marcel responded condescendingly. I grabbed his arm in a vice like grip, sending him on a deep dive of my collected memories. While he was seeing our shared past I saw Rebekah getting friendly with Enzo. Sage had come in getting comfortable with Finn, introducing herself to Mikael.

Marcel gasped coming back to the present, looking at all of us. "Hope!" He exclaimed rushing to me. He lifted me up spinning me around. "This is what you meant when you said siblings fight." He said, releasing a big sigh as he set me down. He looked to his former wife seeing her with Enzo. "Does she know everything?" He asked me quietly. "Yes, but seeing you behave the way you have hasn't been encouraging for her. I fear that even if you change your ways and prove yourself to be the man she loves, it still won't be enough. I need you to prepare for that possibility." I responded.
