"I can't do this!" Lorelai said as she stood with her friends with her angel wings out.

Lately, since she gained her angelic wings and halo, she's been trying to learn her new abilities. At the moment, she was trying Astral projection. This allowed angels to project shadowy forms of their wings onto any surface at will. Unfortunately, she was having much trouble doing this.

"Huh, I guess angelic powers isn't really your forte" Vinnie told her smugly.

Lorelai groweled as her eye twitched. Lately, Vinnie has been antagonistic towards her. Not in a bad way but it was getting on her nerves. But this was the tip of the iceberg. Without thinking, Lorelai swung a fist towards her. Unfortunately, instead of Vinnie, she hit Maggot, who just came to visit, instead. She gulped nervously as she looked up at him.

"I told you, you need to work on your aim" Vinnie said.

She didn't respond as he only sweetly smiled down at her.

"Okay. Up we go!" Maggot said.

With that, he grabbed and threw Lorelai upward, causing her to scream very loudly and very high-pitch-ish. Stone's jaw dropped as Skipp's eyes widened as they watched her go up in the air. Maggot then turned to Vinnie.

"What did I say about antagonizing Lorelai right now?" He asked her.

"Ugh...not to do it" she replied with a mutter, crossing her arms as she did.

Maggot nodded once before he opened his wings and shooting upwards, cutting through the air like a lightning bolt. Lorelai's screaming remained constant until she peaked over the clouds. Then she started falling. As she fell, she flailed around in the air, trying to keep what little balance she had and stay upright. Her breath quickened as her whole body started trembling.

"Lorelai..."

Her eyes shot to the left, only to see Maggot falling through the air right next to her, looking like he was in a lounge chair.

"Do you want to tell me what's wrong?" He asked, pulling out a clipboard and pen.

"No!" She replied before she wraps her wings around herself, rolling away.

"Stay away. I'm...I'm weird, and screwing everything up and stuff..." Lorelai's voice trembled, sniffing every so often.

"Yeah, we'll get to that part" he replied as he wrote a quick note on his clipboard before he made his way to her.

Very carefully, he opened her wings, trying to look at her face.

"But you know that's not what I mean, right?"

Maggot reached out a hand, going to pat her shoulder when he retracted it, not wanting to cross any boundaries.

"Are you like...." Lorelai looked back and forth between Maggot and the nothingness around her. "Gonna leave me...?"

"Lorelai..."

"Nevermind, it's stupid!" She said before she rolled away through the air, turned away from the angel again.

Maggot sighed.

"...Before I met you, and my dear benefactors..." he spoke as soft as ever. "Human lives were such a mystery to me. Then I met you and my benefactors and somehow, you four made everything seem....fun, somehow."

This little confession made Lorelai peek out her wings, tears were welled up in the corners of her eyes.

"...I never knew what that felt like beforehand" he told her.

Lorelai's eyes darted around as she piped up.

"Same..."

"Then we'll stick together!" Maggot said in a cute little accent as he turned to his baby form, causing Lorelai to laugh.

"Actually..." she started before she carefully grabbed him.

"Your voice should be more like-" she started in as silly voice before the two of them crashed on the ground, causing a huge explosions of grass and dust.

"What the hell?!" Stone asked as Vinnie stood ready with her dagger.

But they were met with anything but what they were expecting. Lorelai held baby Maggot in her arms, her wings expanded as she stood on the ground.

"The...uh..accent was a bad idea anyway" she told him as she let him go and he turns back to his human form.

"Ehh, it's not like it killed anyone" he told her, ruffling her hair a bit.

She laughed a little bit as he smiled.

"And as for your lessons, don't worry about not getting it right the first time. Baby steps."

Lorelai grabbed him and pulled him into the tightest hug she's ever given. Maggot almost broke his spine bending down, but being the kind angel he is, he hugged back. She was happy, happy to finally have a good parental figure in her life.
