Once their boat ride ended, they arrived at the the garden. The different colored roses shined brightly in the moon and star light above. The cool breeze swept through the grass and their hair.

"I had a great time tonight. But...why do I sense that I'm not the only one who has your affections?" Sera asked.

This caused Xander's goofy smile to falter. He sighed a little bit before he sat down. Sera joined him.

"I don't know, it's just...I don't know if I see her as a friend or something more, I mean I was drunk at the time and we had so much in common-" he ranted before Sera kissed his cheek to calm him down.

"Let's calm down and do you mind telling me who she is, from how you talk about her I can tell that she's a nice person" she told him once she pulled away.

"What did I ever do to deserve you?" He asked her with a smile, gently holding her hands in his.

"I can ask myself the same question."

And with that, Xander started telling his new girlfriend about Lilith.

"She seems like a wonderful young woman!" Sera chirped happily once he finished.

"Yeah. She's kind and understanding and clumsy at times" he added before they giggled at that last part.

Once he finished, he sighed and played with the hem of his shirt.

"But it's like deep down, we have so much in common" he told her nervously.

He was afraid that with him admitting his feelings for both of them to her, he would lose her.

"Well then. I don't mind sharing" Sera told him.

"Huh?!"

That's not what he expected at all.

"I said I don't mind sharing you with her. From the way you explained her to me, maybe we could get along. I know that this relationship of ours is new but if she likes you too and gets hurt easily, I'm willing to learn" she explained softly.

Xander smiled, happy that she was so understanding and sweet.

"Thanks, Sera."

And soon enough, they sensed her presence nearby. Sera quickly made a plan. The plan was that she'd pretend to leave but would actually hide in a bush so Xander could call out to her after he and Lilith talked. Once they saw her, the plan was set in motion. Xander gave Sera a rose before he kissed her cheek before she flew off, secretly coming back and hiding in a bush. When Lilith saw them, she could feel her heart shatter. But she forced a smile as she went up to Xander and gave him a hug.

"Congratulations! You got the girl of your dreams!" She told him, making him smile.

Heh, yeah...Hey Lilith? Can I tell you something?" He asked.

"Yeah?"

Xander slowly took in a deep breath. Well, here goes nothing.

"I was wondering if you could join me?" He told her.

"I-what?" She asked, confused.

"Like, joining me and Sera in our relationship?" He told her, clearing up the confusion.

Lilith remained silent.

"I know it's a lot to take in, but me and Sera are willing to learn and I know it sounds crazy but-!" He started before he got down on one knee and gave her a beautiful white fading into red rose.

"What i'm trying to say is-"

"No."

This caused him to stop.

"Wha-?" He questioned.

"Xander, I can't. What if I mess it up between you two?!" She told him.

"Hey, it's okay. We're both willing to learn and understand-"

"I-I just can't!"

This made his heart fall and shatter.

"I m sorry, Xander. I-I just can't fall in love again....please just....just let me think about this right now..." she told him.

Slowly, she gave him back the rose.

"...I'm sorry" she said before she ran off in a flash.

After a moment Sera came out of the buses she was hiding in. She looked in the direction Lilith ran before looking at the incubus.

"...that didn't end so well" she said sadly.

Still on his knee, he looked at the rose. Slowly he sat down and started to cry. He thought that he did something wrong that made him push her away and making her think that she'll be a burden to him and Sera. As he cried, the rose wilted and died off in his hands. Seeing this, Sera went over and tried to comfort him.
