Marcus poured tea into cups before handing them off to everyone as they sat in a small yet comfy family room. As he sat down, a tense silance filled the air. So, in a desperate attempt to cut said tension, Marcus spoke.
"So...what- Uhm.....What's shakin' bacon?" He asked, cringing immediately afterwards.
"Well, I'm actually running a sugar mill called the Scrap house that helps scraps out. But I guess Maggot already told you about it" Lorelai told him nervously before taking a sip of her tea.
"Oh, a sugar mill. Fun."
Lorelai nodded as silance fell over them again. So, to try to break it, Sara spoke up.
"Lorelai, why don't you introduce Marcus to your friends?" She suggested.
"Oh, yes, of course. This is Stone, he's my boyfriend" Lorelai started, grabbing Stone's hand and pulling him over to her.
Marcus's eyes wided before he let out a little smile and held his hand out.
"Put her there, Stone."
"Pleasure to meet you, sir" Stone replied, shaking his hand.
Lorelai let out a breath of relief, glad that her father wasn't the type of dad who immediately hates their daughter's significant other. She smiled before pointing to Vinnie.
"That pirate girl is Vinnie."
"Heya" she greeted, stuffing her face with cookies.
"That little golden retriever is Skipp" Lorelai said while pointing at Skipp.
"Hello mr. Valentine...sir?" He greeted with a smile.
"Just 'Marcus' is fine."
"And finally this guy is Xander, My older half brother" She concluded, gesturing to her incubus brother.
"Hey there" he said with a small wave.
"Pleasure to meet you all" Marcus said with a nod.
Afterwards, they just made some small talk.

About two hours passed as Lorelai slowly grew anxious. She didn't understand why though.
"Hey, uh, Dad? Is it okay that I go outside for a bit?" She asked, rubbing her arms as she bit her bottom lip.
"Of course. Are you okay?" Marcus replied, pausing his conversation with Xander.
"I just need to get some fresh air is all" she told him.
"I'll go with you" Stone said, standing up and joining her.
He gently took her hand and they both went outside. After a beat, Marcus slumped down in his seat.
"You know, I noticed that Lorelai wears a face like she's expecting from me, anger that just doesn't exist" Marcus said with a sigh as he ran a hand down his face.
"I noticed it too" Vinnie spoke up.
"What do you expect? She had to deal with our mother's neglect and anger for about 15 years" Xander told him, making Sara nod.
"All I have is love for her, all I want is to keep her safe. She won't except it just yet, she feels so much misplaced guilt."
Xander nodded.
"In truth, she's still such a kid, still growing into her adult body. I like that she wants to own her mistakes, but she needs to forgive herself too. Until she does that she'll never let you in to help her heal. So, my advice is to take those emotions that's swirling inside of you and put a stopper on them. Not to bottle them up forever but to keep the love safe until she can accept it as her birth-right" he told the angel.
Marcus nodded as Sara looked at the incubus and blushed a little bit.
"Who knew that you were so wise?" She asked, earning a playful shrug in response.

Meanwhile, sitting on the golden sand nearby the sea, Lorelai leaned against her boyfriend as she hugged her knees.
"So, you're dad seems nice..." Stone said, trying to start a conversation up.
Silance. He sighed before he put his hand in his jacket pocket, grabbing something that was inside. Suddenly, Stone handed her a sealed letter, a pink blush on his face.
"What's this?" She asked, finally speaking up as she ran her fingers across the front.
"Just...read it when we go back down to Ramshackle, okay?" He told her with pleading eyes.
Unsure of what was so important about the letter, she agreed nevertheless. Then Maggot found them.
"I'm sorry for interrupting but we're about to descend back to Ramshackle" he told them.
Lorelai looked at him before she looked back at the letter. Slowly, she sighed and stood up. When everyone met back up at Marcus's house, the cambion gave her dad a hug.
"Just so you know, you're always welcomed here" Marcus told her.
"Okay Dad. Bye" Lorelai replied back she joined her friends.
"Hey!"
They turned around.
"Tell my brother Dante that I said "Hi" he told them with a grin.
Lorelai's jaw dropped.
"What the fuc-!?" She yelled before they were sent back down to earth.
